The Idle Biker

So a good few weeks ago I sold by ZX7R and GSXR 600 SRAD trackbike. Picked up a GSXR 75O trackbike and was left wondering what to do for a road bike.:confused:
Riding on the track a good few times this year had left me a bit confused about riding on the road. I'd lost the urge to go blatting about on the road, I didn't want another IL4. I wanted something swift but not mental, something with character, something I would just WANT to ride because of the bike, rather than because I was going fast(ish).
I didn't have a big budget, so I toyed with getting a nostalgic bike a GSX250 or an RD350LC. I thought about getting another SV and I really came close but I couldn't find one like TamSV's :p
So as is my way with Bike's I acted with my heart rather than my head and bought this. 748 SPS. Tbh I didn't even know what model it was until today:-?

It's only done 11.5k and although not quite Mint, it's close to it. As good as I could hope for for a bike that age.
This weekend my first ride and I was scrubbing in new tyres and very cautious. Honestly though, I so enjoyed having a V Twin again!
The suspension was far too stiff for the road, the fairings channeled all the engine heat straight to your legs, the dry clutch rattled like a looney in chains, but feck me it was a truly great ride today. I didn't know whether to laugh or scream.
It's just had a full service and I know the service bills will hit me at some point but I don't care. Road riding mojo restored thanks to v twin magic. I just love the way the power comes though.
V Twins!!!!!!!!!:makelurve::smt040
yeeeeeee hahhah!!!!!!:D:D:D
Anyone got any wise words about Ducatis?
