I've bought another one. Sold my Daytona & was looking for a TDM, or Triumph Legend, but this little lady came along & I couldn't say no.
She only has 7500 miles on the clock, 1 owner &, as you can see, it's immaculate. I can't believe I've bought another 955, but this is the more comfortable, less powerful variant, with the added benefit of luggage. I just need to start organising some long trips to get the use out of her. I pick her up tomorrow. Happy? You betcha :):)

Am I the only one that has 'bonneville' springs to my mind when I hear the word Triumph?
Nice bike though :)
Nice one Col, looks great :)

Thanks very much. The Top box is after market, the panniers are Triumph branded, thats why its a different colour.
How do you find yours Daryl? I've read really good reports on them. MCN actually reckon that they are better than the VFR, but you never know if it's just hype to try & sell them :)

Looks like a nice example there Colin, I ridden a couple of those and borrowed one for a weekend, there was a reason I had 7 bikes with that 955i lump in them, enjoy it mate.
Cheers Mark.

Thanks Mark. Really can't wait to get it, but work is hampering me now :( Too many people off for me to A) get out of work to go to the bank to get the money & B) Wondering if it's worth riding 200 miles after work to go & pick it up.
We will see what pans out
I love mine, engine is a peach, pulls from low down and is full of smoothe seamless power, I've put PR3's on and seem much better than the Storms that were on it when I got it. Also got a Triumph taller screen to keep the wind off and a scottoiler. Really comfy as well over distance although I'm considering a set of bar risers to take off a little pressure on my wrists. (cos I'm not as young as I used to be) . Sure you'll enjoy yours.
Daryl.

Looks really good, shame you can't get it yet! It'll all the more sweeter when you do! Whats gonna to happen with the CBR? I'm on the bike for once today so you might have heard me go past a couple of times. :riding:

Yup, saw you earlier on :) Got the Reg rec sorted then? Good man .
The CBR will be my sh*t weather bike, I have a new job that I start in September, so my work mileage is going to plummet, it's only 4 miles from home.
Good news is that the Sprint is being delivered tomorrow :D The bloke will deliver for a modest fee, it's a 200 mile round trip, so thought it was cheaper than me faffing about, quite looking forward to it now :)

Well, she arrived yesterday & I'm glad I didn't trek up to Bradford for it as it has no tax :(
She is as good to look at in the flesh as she is in the photos, but don't know what she is like to ride yet, my insurance company are emailing my documents over today, so fingers crossed, might just be riding her home :)

Terrific bikes and my only regret is you have bought it,not me. I have had my 108bhp for nine years and over 50K on it .What year and is it the 108 or the 118bhp engine? Never had a more do everything bike that is so cumfy and 500mile stints are effortless.Cruising at 70-80mph I get 230miles before the light which equates to 58-60mpg simple because you do not need to go above 5000rpm to be quick but once you hit 6000rpm it is a very different animal in the last 3500rpm
Please let me know how it performs with the Maxis on it as I have had various tyre brands but always end up returning to Mich Pilot Road as the give good mileage and perform well in all conditions.
Enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed mine and it is amazing how much you get in the luggage.
P.S. Get the headlights changed to twins, simple relay and bulb change and the lights are 100%better

I'll be honest & say that I don't know the Horsepower, I think it's the 118. I'm looking forward to a ride tonight, just to get a feel for it. Everybody says what a brilliant bike they are, so, fingers crossed :)

Yup, looks like me & Triumphs don't tend to get on too well when I 1st buy them :(
Never mind, I'll have a look over the weekend & see if I can see anything untoward. If there is something drastically wrong than it will be a trip in a van to Bradford :)

It was from a little place called Idle. I got him to deliver it Dizz, I didn't have time to get up there, or I would have been banging on your door for Coffee & definitely cake :)
Col, get the relay so both headlights come on together on dip, would also suggest replacing the bulbs with better ones, I got Osram night breakers, if you read the manual to change them it says you have to take the fairing and front off. if you have smallish hands the bulbs can be changed by taking just the front side fairing panels off, Saves loads of time. I think it is the 118 hp model you've got, looks almost as good as mine :).

I am going to sort the running problems 1st Daryl, then I'll attack the lights :)
I asked my better half to have a sit on the pillion with me sat on the bike to see how she found it. We had real problems on the Daytona when it was loaded up with luggage (she's only little). She hopped straight on, no problem, so that part of the bike has pleased me :)

Right, well, myself & the Sprint have had 120 miles together after faffing with the front end at the weekend. The tyre fitter had put the speedo sensor on wrong, so the plastic housing was pushing on the wheel. Couple of things that have now been highlighted is that the fuel gauge only works when it feels like it, only 1 headlight is working & I cant ride it like a sports bike lol.
Took my good lady out on it last night & the bike was transformed, it rode absolutely beautifully, so suspension needs setting up. I love the riding position & I wish I'd bought a tourer years ago. Here's a couple of pictures I took this morning on the way to work outside Combermere Abbey.

Very nice! glad it didn't turn out to be a yellow citrus fruit!
Looks really cool, I'll have to take the scenic route to work and see it in its natural environment.
Considering a tourer for my next one when I eventually swap. Wish Suzuki would make a DL1000 again though.

Cheers Brett. Myself & the Sprint wont be in it's environment for much longer, I've handed my notice in at work & finish next Friday 31st. TBH, I can't wait now, getting the silent treatment from my "workmates" today, but, hey ho, they will grow up soon.
I can wholeheartedly give tourers the thumbs up. I know that I'm in my older years now, but i wish I'd bought one years ago, they are so comfortable :)

Wow, good luck with whatever you are doing instead! yeah workmates can be childish (usually out of jealousy of your escape :)) ah well, least you haven't got long to go!
If I don't pass you on your commute we will both just have to get to the farmers more often :) stands to reason doesn't it

I'm sure Dicky Ticker had an issue with the fuel gauge on his trumpet, there's a part on the underside that had broken, which meant the sensor wasn't working.
Do Andy's suggestion first, then maybe DT's next

They only issue with/or has been with my fuel gauge is number of miles to the tank, never being less than 200 and that is thrashing it. :D
Speedo sensor on the front wheel is an expensive item so be careful not to overtighten the front axle spindle when refitting the front wheel
SPINDLE------60NM----45/FT/LBS
PINCH BOLTS-20NM----15/FT/LBS
Sorry I could help with the steering pull? but been away on holiday.
Headlights are a piece of p1ss to do ,just get the relay and change the bulbs as has been recomended

I found out the hard way with the Daytona over the speedo sensor, that was broken when I bought it & cost me close on £160 :(
I've been putting some miles on her & a LOT of fettling, she is riding really well now. The bike is genuine & I think it has been sat outside for a while unloved. I have replaced all of the relays & spark plugs & cleared all of the cobwebs away. The alarm has been disconnected to stop battery drain & I'm going to give her a full service next week while I'm off. I've messed with the suspension & have got her handling quite nicely now. She still feels a little jittery at the front, but I think it's the way I ride (I'm changing my style to Touring instead of Sport lol). Misfire is also sorted. I remembered that my Daytona plug hole used to fill with water, so checked it & right enough it was. I've also got hold of & fitted a Triumph aftermarket exhaust for £40, she sounds really nice.
