I have a carbon fibre mudguard for a pointy for sale. It has silver mesh on the sides and a high gloss clear gel coat finish. Good condition, does have a few minor scratches but nothing that detracts the appearance. I will post a picture if required.

Looking for £50 posted

Been looking at this thread a while and I bought a set of goodridge lines from the seller that when they arrived the front mc banjo bolt was f&@+ed with a damaged flattened thread which was stripping the mc's thread. I've messaged him and no response.

Hi Michael

I packaged the mudguard in bubble wrap because it cost £17 to ship it out in a box. The price of which you didn't want to pay, I offered you a cheaper alternative. Non track able which you also didn't want to pay as you wanted track able. As I was including postage I was not prepared to let the mudguard go for £33!

I packaged the mudguard with plenty of bubble wrap and tape. It was in near perfect condition when it left me apart from the very minor scratches which I informed you about.

I can't be responsible for what happens to the mudguard once it leaves my hands.

And Joe.

I have pm'd you didn't get a reply so thought that was it.

The master cylinder banjo came straight out of my sv master cylinder and into the box I sent it in. It was in my sv before I purchased the bike, and functioned fine while it was in, I only took it out to replace them with the longer lines to suit my renthal fat bars.

I dont agree, we made a deal, if i would have known you would ship it like that, i would never have bought it, i expect you to ship it so it will be ok when it arrives! So you are responsible.
It whas not that i did not want to pay, i just wanted a good deal. I did not expect you to bubblewrap it, because i got it cheaper.
And you never pm'ed me the T&T number anyway! Like you said you would, and you did not ship it rights away like you said you would. i Am very disapointed!
You should transfere some of the money back to me!

I packaged it adequately. I have sent enough parcels wrapped in bubble wrap before that have arrived safe. If some idiot at royal mail, or your Danish equivalent has thrown it about then claim from them. You got a good deal, those mudguards sell for over £100 new, so £55 shipped to Denmark is not bad going.

Where is it even damaged anyway?

At this point I need to remind both of you that this site is a gateway to exchange details.

I suggest, that for both your interests, you continue this discussion off site either via email or phone.

@buyer if you feel the value of the product is now lower (due to damage) then a small refund would suit.

@seller if an item is sent out of the country it's not in human contact the whole time and will take damage to its packaging. It should have gone in a box. The buyer refused this and as such you should have refused the sale.

My 50p pence. Hope you pair sort it.

Michael you can email me photos of the damage to the mudguard please?
