Also don't start engine when oiling the chain....

feek ! im not even dumb enough to clean a chain when its motored/powered to go round,though i do spin the type with my hand... Glad iv seen this no more dangerous stunts for me :thumbsup:

I'm assuming the guy got his hand stuck between the chain and sprockets or similar? With the link missing, it would help to know what I need to be careful to avoid, especially since I normally clean the chain using my todger.

The link was to another site, showing graphic images ie missing fingers, the post was about what can go wrong if you make a silly mistake, but as this site is a “u” cert we all can think about what it was like.
I did put this post up for any one new to biking, to be extra careful when cleaning their chain or this could happen………

basically. dont try cleaning your chain with the bike running.

just turn the wheel by hand and dont be lazy
