The brother and I are looking for a carer for my mother who has moved into my brothers home. 35-40 hours/week.
We want it to be a customer/supplier relationship. As in we buy the care from the provider. So far we have interviewed 4 possible candidates and all seem to back off when we say we want them to be self employed.
We have explained how it works well for them in that their travel and costs are tax deductable. How their NI is minimal but for some reason non seem comfortable with the arrangement.
What other advice can we give someone to move them out of the comfort zone of being an employee
