Morning

I've been wanting a Daytona for ages now and I've found one locally I'm in love with, so seeing what interest I can muster for my trusty steed!

Ok so the bike:

05 SK5 (black frame) sv650s with part fairing
just shy of 12k on the clock - part service history (done most bits myself, details below)
Beowulf exhaust with baffle out atm but baffle included (sounds nice)
R&G tail tidy
Rear seat cowl (doesn't have the infills though....)
Bit of red rim tape to break up the black wheels a bit!
Front indicators removed and wing mirrors with them built in added
Both front and rear tyres are Pirelli Diablo's with buckets of tread
Very nice and clean (I'm a bit obsessive about having spotless vehicles!)

Recently I've:

Had the alarm removed as it was ****, so no worries there

Brand new Yuasa battery

Changed the oil for semi synth Castrol...I forget the precise brand but it was £38ish for the 4L tub (which you can take the remainder with you) also changed the oil filter

Completely rebuilt the front and rear calipers, the EBC pads front and rear are HH sintered and near new. Obviously bled the system as well.

Discs are near new as well

Changed fork oil for slightly thicker stuff to stiffen the front end up

It gets more comments than anything else I've ever owned, probably because it sounds like the apocalypse when I'm riding down the street and stop at lights!

Here's some pics, these are VERY recent!

any chance you could tell me how you wired up your mirrors? and would you be open to selling your cowl and mirrors separately?

thanks

I believe they simply click into whatever loom is there for the originals. I'm not too sure tbh! I wouldn't bother selling them separately as I just want a quick easy sale without stripping bits off and then finding replacements.

Am I asking too much or something? Don't understand the complete lack of interest! The bike's in absolutely fantastic condition with low miles for the year, barely a mark on it (usual pitting to the n/s fork and that's it)

Let me know if I'm asking over the odds

I've got a K4 in decent condition, various extras and just shy of 10,000 on the clock. I'd be made up if I got anywhere near £2,000 so I think you might be asking a bit too much.

Have you seen what a Triumph dealer would give you part ex? I would love a Daytona - I think they're amazing and sound brilliant. At the time I enquired, Jack Lilly (Sunbury) would give me £400 more than any Suzuki dealer to part ex. Plus the Daytona's were coming with over a grands worth of extras.
On a side note, they did say they would prefer it with all the standard bits on, so if you still have those, stick em back on before selling and then sell the extras on here.

That is well over-priced :L its not fully faired , its not longer summer , and its 7 years old and you are charging half the price of a brand new sv650 just some things to consider :L I'd say £1900

Not rocket science is it lad. Reading the initial post might help you with that.

Well I live in Weybridge, work at Heathrow, have friends I regularly visit in Shepherds Bush, Ealing and East London. So I can be anywhere at any time and I don't mind travelling round London a bit if someone wants to view it.

Awesome thread this!

I'll deliver it to Leeds for the price of a train ticket back home. My family live in Halifax so I don't mind helping getting it up north.

Righty. Will take £1800 for this as a not-willing-to-budge-on-it price. Bike's in wonderful condition for the year and mileage, the only thing worth noting is the typical bit of pitting on the one fork up front. Otherwise it's pretty much mark free and kept nice and clean.

Tax and MOT are both good till end of May next year and I'm doing an oil/filter and air filter change this weekend coming.

Peace out y'all.

I do think you are closer to the price now mate. I had my k6 sv650s (16000 on the clock) for a while. ended up taking £1950 last week.

I sold my 2006 SK5 with 11k on it for £2,200 about two weeks ago on ebay - classified ads. I don't think here is the place to sell a bike tbh as everyone has one already!

Yeah you have a very good point Aidan! I've got it on Gumtree as well, I try to swerve ebay as it's full of none payers, dreamers and time wasters. Couple that with the fee's from ebay itself AND paypal and it's almost a recipe for financial disaster haha. :)

To be honest I think the ebay classified listing was £15 or £25. However for a similar bike to yours I sold it for £500 more than you're currently asking. As a classified ad, no paypal and no final value fee. First viewer bought it.
