The time has come to sell my beloved SV. I have owned this since March 2011 and loved every minute of it. This has been my pride and joy, so it has been thoroughly well maintained and looked after. I’ve added a few choice extras as well as upgrading the front suspension with K-tech springs so the bike handles like a dream.
Extras:
• R&G frame sliders.
• Stainless steel braided Hel brake lines front and rear.
• Aftermarket stainless steel exhaust with removable baffle – makes the bike sound awesome (original included in sale as well if you want it).
• K-tech front fork springs (fitted April 2012).
• Suzuki OEM rear hugger.
• Front fender extender (to reduce the amount of road crap hitting the engine and pipes).
• Adjustable clutch and brake levers.
• Stainless steel rear axle adjuster plates.
• Paddock stand bobbins.
• Renthal bar ends.
• Gel handlebar grips.
• 12v waterproof socket fitted to relay – for charging phones, sat naves, etc on the go.
• Professionally powder coated front forks in black to match frame.
Michelin Pilot Road 3 tyres (cost £260) fitted about 2000 miles ago, good for at least another 4-5000 miles. The chain and sprockets are in good condition as the chain has been regularly cleaned and oiled.
Most of the bodywork bolts have been replaced with A2 marine grade stainless steel bolts as the Suzuki ones can be prone to corrosion.
The bike had always garaged with the battery kept in tip top condition on an optimate. After every wash, I’ve always sprayed the engine and other vulnerable areas with scottoiler fs365 anti-corrosion – as did the previous owner. Bike is regularly polished and waxed and the engine oil has been changed at least every 2000 miles and serviced regularly.
Recent full service a few months ago in July including:
• Oil and filter.
• Air filter.
• Iridium spark plugs.
• Valve check and adjustment (this won’t need to be done now for another 15k miles!).
• TPS adjustment.
• Suspension linkages cleaned and re-greased.
• Wheel axles, bearings and spacers cleaned and re-greased.
• Rebuilt front and rear brake callipers with new seals and replaced the brake fluid.
• Coolant flushed and replaced.
This bike is in very good condition throughout as I have really looked after it and ensured it has been maintained to a high standard. Mechanically the bike is in tip top condition.
The bodywork is in great condition, but there are a couple of marks as you would expect from use but it has never been dropped or damaged in any way. There is some paint flaking on the water pump housing that was there when I bought it, but as the fairing covers it and you can’t really see it I’ve never bother to touch it up.
Comes with owners manual, V5 logbook, MOT certificate and 2 sets of keys – I’ll throw in a Haynes manual as well.
