Tsubaki chain riveting?

Hey all.
My local back-street (very good) man only has a DID riveting tool which is no good for the Tsubaki link as it has solid pins :(. And the next local place wants to charge me a full hour + Vat to do the job :confused:. Can anyone recomend a reasonably priced riveter that will work on the solid pins, or should I just try looking further away, or should I get a DID style link to make life easier?

I had the same issue with the chain for the RGV. It came with two options - a split link and the solid pin type rivet link you've got there.

I've got a cheapo rivetter tool but it only does the hollow pins. I had a look for a tool to do the solid pins but it was a bit pricey for all the use I'd get out of it. This (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motion-Pro-Jumbo-Chain-Tool-08-0135-Chain-Breaker-and-Quad-Stake-Rivet-Kit-Combo-/170775406348?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27c301e70c) would do the job, you need that square hollow adapter to rivet the solid pins.

The cheapo method is to put it all together then get two hammers. Hold one behind the link and carefully pein the end of the rivet over with the other hammer. The rivet link I've got came with two m-shaped wires you pop in between the plates to make sure you don't push them too tightly together.

I would get a Tsubaki hollow rivet joining link. Much easier and about £5 from B&C Express. My chain came with one as standard.

Chears fellas. I found a local fella who has done it, and laser ligned the wheels, and a couple of other small jobs, for £70. This chain will probably outlast the rest of the bike now so getting a tool didn't seem worth it. Picking it up on Wednesday (he's running his own business around dialysis !!) having just had a new rear tyre, should feel like a new bike :)
