At first there was one......

Then there was four........

Think we need to do a good write up of the trip starting with the journey down, jammys quotes and other daft things on the trip!

So at the start no dramas,a nice bimble down to Blandford Forum, I was riding p4 so I got to see some spectacularly badly timed overtakes by Jammy and some suspiciously fast ones by someone who shall remain nameless!
Upon arrival at Blandford we decided to get some munchies from Tesco

and fuel up.
At said petrol pumps there was a massive queue right out onto the road, so me being me I rode through the queue, up to a pump that was not being used and filled up, Jammy and Job did the same and used the same pump as me.
Whilst waiting for Tom and Job to finish fuelling Jammy comes out of the garage and tells me he has just been accosted in the queue by an irate woman whinging that we had jumped the queue!
A couple of minutes later some ugly fat bird comes round the corner yelling "whose is that red bike?" to which I replied "mine why" what followed was a rather lengthy rant about how she has no time for bikers and our like.
Remarkably I kept my cool and was polite enough to dismiss her point without swearing and pointed out we didn't jump the queue but filtered through it managing to fuel 3 bikes at one pump in a couple of minutes and not causing an even bigger queue!
At which point she waddled off to eat another cake or similar and on her way off the forecourt stopped to hurl some more abuse from her car. Immediately following that a van pulls up and the woman in the passenger seat shouts "don't mind her she's just jealous she's to heavy for a bike" or words to that effect but with more colourful language.
So we set off soon after towards Dorchester and for about the next 40 miles I was furious with myself for being so polite and all the things I should have said to the grumpy b**ch!:smt019

Moral high ground is good mate. No good comes from retaliating. Unless you're actually going to murder her and hang her corpse in a gibbet over the entrance to the petrol station, thus removing her as a problem permanently, it's best to take the moral high ground. That way you leave knowing you were the better person, rather than being an equivalently emotionally ruled gelatinous turd.
Good job.

Before the petrol pump incident, whilst sitting at the various traffic lights in Salisbury the Ace was getting rather warm, after leaving Salisbury my new lid for some reason started trying to drill a hole in the side of my head!
So we stopped in the next village so I could remove the offending article (which turned out to be a sticker with a lump in the middle), I left the Ace running and when we set off she was hot (over 100 degrees)! So bombing down the A345 towards Blandford we encountered the queueing traffic for the steam fair, whilst filtering past it I found I had no clutch, which was interesting in slow moving traffic. So shouted to Tom and pulled over to discover I had boiled my clutch fluid, it having been brand new fluid when I left, it was now black water and burnt my hand while I was bleeding the air out at the side of the road!
I wonder if this occurred due to me using Carlube dot4 from Asda?
But once refilled and bled all was well.............until in Exeter sitting in traffic I discovered the bite point was now somewhere in the centre of the handlebar and I could not pull away, the others had already ridden off so I pushed the Ace into a carpark rang Tom and told him and they returned to my aid.
So after another top up and bleed we were once again on the road, and after bungeeing my clutch lever fully in over night to release any more air no more dramas, although on the return leg the bite did move further back so I need to investigate if it is down to the cheap dot4 or if my fan is no longer working!
Any pearls of wisdom that don't involve unicorn blood or multimeters gratefully recieved!
I though I had better admit this myself before the photos of me fixing the clutch at the side of the road and in a carpark find their way onto the forum![-o<

So after sorting the clutch the second time, I asked Job which road to follow and left the others to get out of Exeter quickly and not boil the fluid once again eventually I pulled over and stopped to wait.
When I saw them coming I fired up the Ace and took off round some rather fantastic B-roads towards Dartmoor, upon looking in my mirrors, blow me if the bike right behind me was Jammy!
Mister can't keep it upright had found his mojo and was happily threading his way through unfamiliar roads at speeds the rozzers would frown about, sticking closely to my rear tyre for 10 miles or so, after that we eased off and were soon caught by the others and Job overtook to lead us across the moor where we stopped to take some photos..........

No problems really just keeps boiling the fluid, got some good stuff now will bleed through and see if that sorts it, only had the problem since I used the cheap carlube stuff!

Let that be a lesson, when it comes to lube you can't go cheap.

Oh you can, the Delphi stuff I've got now is the stuff I usually use, never had any dramas and its 50p cheaper than the Carlube crap from Asda!

It'll be good for the picture of a speed camera ;) i may or may not! I didn't go fast past any of them (of what i know) it's always good fun!
Only reason why i give a crap is cos if i get REALLY unlucky and get two in one day i lose my license (new driver act) :(
If I don't get one, you certainly won't :-)
