The motorcycle diaries and The worlds fastest Indian.

Closer to the edge was as boring as sin. We both yawned and turned it off!

Do you mean films or documentaries?

Best - TT Closer to the edge - saw it at the cinema - excellent, so much better on the big screen. Also enjoyed the faster series, latest one was good.

Worst -Easy Rider - WTF??? Watched it for the first time the other week - what a pile of *****! That flicking back and forward between scene's was driving me insane by the end.

On Any Sunday. The best one - end of.

A Close Shave. Front wheel drive Brit bike. Plasticine makes better films than Hollywood - fact.

Faster. A great, if brief, insight into the way those chap's heads work.

Great Escape. Steve McQueen sticking it to the Nazis, and on a bike too, cool as a very cool thing indeed.

Easy Rider. I understand the criticisms, but you can't view it with modern eyes and see what it was about, it's only tangentially a bike film. (Think: Zen & the art).

Worlds Fastest Indian. Fun, nice that it's slightly true.

Sex & Violence + Mo'Bikes = I'm in.

2nd series really ramped up the quality and Uncle Henry was in it. Excellent. The "Irish" bits were hilarious in 4th. Was worried it would be the usual Yank IRA love-in. But it was just about palatable.

Looking fwd to series 5.

Can't believe the "pretty boy" is an aye-oop geordieman. Bet it beats playing a ned football casual!

Does Tron qualify? Love the old and new.

Wild hogs and freebird are both easy watching and funny.

The "Irish" bits were hilarious

The main IRA geezer had the worst Irish accent I have ever heard. Im from Belfast myself and me and the missus found it hard to watch those episodes, how hard can it be to get an actual Irish actor?

Yup same here. Mr Vince was on good form. Made buying the DVD like a drug deal. "Let's take a walk..." :)

Enjoyed the film. I was disssapointed when it ended though. Thought you would see them trying to get back. Did they ride? Wish we could have seen that. Would have made it more complete. On the whole you can tell its been made with a lot of love.

As an aside I also managed to finally get my hands on Nathan Willards book, The Long Ride Home at the show. Fantastic read.

Quadraphenia is a great film. I remember that ray winstones character is the only "good guy" in it. And he is the biker.

I've rode with Nathan millward at an ABR rally, I wanted to get a copy of his book off him and pm'd him if he was gonna have any on him but he wasn't at the stand when I was there and didn't realise the books were on the overland stand (bought myself a subscription to that mag/book).

I spoke to Austin for quite a bit at the show, then we 'met' around the Ducati stand got me to get my 'free' book lol
He's as mad as a box of frogs but a top bloke.

The wife was always going on about a film from the seventies called Stone (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0072209/?ref_=fn_al_tt_2), so when I found it on DVD as a special edition, I bought it for her.

We watched it with our mate Mr Bao at his place on his big screen and it was worth the extra effort. You could really see the grain in the wooden acting! It has not aged well and was shockingly bad, the acting was dreadful, the story was appalling and never mind the terrible script! The highlight of the movie was that they all rode brand new Z900s which looked and sounded awesome. So if you get the chance go and find a copy of this terrible film, you will love it for all of its badness. :smt003
