Hi Guys

I have a 2000 SV ( curvy ) and came across these parts when I was fitting the restrictor washers:
This one was attached to the base of the fuel tank and has spouted a leak.

This one was attached to the airbox and has a crack.

Im sure these must be affecting fuel consumption and or performance, or not?

Thanks in advance.

Btw im based in Croydon

First one is the vacuum operated fuel tap. You can get a repair kit for these to stop leaks.

The second one is, I think, just a blanking rubber for a hole in the airbox. If this is leaking then there will be a small amount of unfiltered air being drawn into the engine, but I doubt it would affect fuel economy.

I'd say they were those too.
The second one is a drain hole plug that could be replaced with anything that would forn an air tight seal.
And unless the fuel tap was pi55ing fuel neither would effect fuel consumption at a noticable level. What sort of mpg are you getting?

Getting about 100 miles to a tank or thereabouts. Any idea on where i can get a repair kit.

That sounds like quite high consumption to me. It obviously depends a great deal on your riding style but I consistantly get 160 miles from a tank doing my 200 mile a week commute. You'd have to be going some to drop it down to 100.
Have a look at this one;
