View Full Version : It's the 'C' word

Right cabinet, with the inevitable C around the proverbial corner i think we should get some sort of plan into place. We would need to book pretty soonish.
I think a cabinet meeting at an establishment is on the books, my place of choice would be Hooters, however this may involve a weekend away. Other than that i am open to other establishments.

I'm away this weekend shooting things, driving rally cars and sitting in titty bars. Yes! Another stag do, so I won't be able to partake. But look on the bright side, as PM, I need to get more scandal going on to fulfil the role correctly and this should do nicely.

Wow, i think i need to have words with the Education Secretary or Minister of Sustainability. Some IQ points have gone missing ;)

I'll let you wonder what event beginning with C is around the corner

I know you're not refering to Christmas, because only raving homs plan Christmas stuff in mid September. Literally, salivating, rabid, chomping at the pink fluffy bit homs. :D

DJ123
13-09-12, 08:20 PM
That was the jist of it. However, the actual meeting for it to be closer to the time. For now i was thinking of potentially arranging something like go karting, paint balling etc.
Spank and Tom work weekends, you have 300 stag do's, Nathan needs to earn brownie points and we need to arrange Dad to get let out of the nursing home again. You all need time to sort out a date you're all free, that alone will take 2 months!

Fallout
13-09-12, 08:29 PM
Ok, get to it Mr Job. I'm happy with anything motorsport or gun related, although Dad may be anti-paintballing atm.

GMCA

Appreciate it's well girly to be planning Christmas at anytime before Christmas eve but seeing as we have very few real, active girls in the Empire Daddyjob has shown great courage and selflessness in fulfilling this most girly of roles.

Daddyjob +2 credits for thinking of the greater good despite the impact on his already fragile masculinity

Fallout -1 credit for negativity
Wideboy -2 credits (-1 for negativity as above but -1 more for generally not turning up to most GM activities anyway)

Oh and karting or paintballing work for me. I have no problem with paintballing just the tosser who chose a stupid place to open his airsoft shop. Not sure if there's still a go-kart track in Aldershot (by the dry ski slope but down the hill a bit). If there is, Thunderace may be able to swing a bit of forces discount.

You need to have a party like Soho's. Last year this involved drinking, pizza, a man in a kilt getting his dangly bits examined by Bear, everyone having to sit on Monkey's lap in turn and declaring that yes they had been very good this year, and if they hadn't then they had to jiggle about a bit more, girls in short skirts and fishnets, half a tub of nappy rash cream ending up in my cleavage and some latex gloves.

I organised it. We have lots of girls at our parties.

I'm changing my vote to paintballing. Did laser gun things over the weekend and really missed the fear of getting shot. Paintballing, DEFINITELY not laser gun stuff. And also I think I'm a bit bored with karting. Did it at the weekend also, and found it very unwhelming, especially compared to the rage buggies we went out later.

So changing my vote to PAINTBALLING!

Yeah I know but I'd rather get bruised, muddy and cold for a whole day, rather than less than an hour of carting, but I could try to find a Butlins local ish, as if I remember rightly you can hire their tracks for whole days although the carts are pretty pump!

Also if I can afford it on my wages all you civvies will have no dramas!

Which part of £6.50 per 100 is expensive? 100 balls is 100 hits, or just the one if your Fallout!

Spank86
18-09-12, 08:59 PM
I was just saying.

I can afford it but didn't want you and the kiddies going in thinking the up front price was the lot.

Fallout
18-09-12, 09:06 PM
Paintball isn't expensive. As said, £5 - £10 to go, then £7/100. A whole day will probably be 8 games. If you're tight, you can play a game with 50 paintballs. £35ish for the day. It's all down to how you play. Plus the guns still go bang when they're out of paint. You can still be useful to your team as a decoy, or scare people into getting their heads down, legging it, etc.

Paintballing or karting is good for me, only problem I have is I'm pretty much only available every other weekend.

Not sure if the kart track is still there in aldershot, been about 8 years since I last went there and its been even longer since I went paintballing!

It was just down from the ski slope, ordanance road/government road kind of way. I'll probably be around that way on Monday or Wednesday so can have a look if you can't.

Eastleigh is still the best circuit I've been on for a while. Really good combo of straights and corners, plus a bridge and steep up/down hill. However, PAINTBALLING is still my vote. I'm going to be a commander and send Nathan on missions since I have officer heritage and therefore commanding officer blood coursing through my veins.

There may be a problem with that strategy being that our soldiers will be about as well disciplined and trained as my dog, and have significantly less energy. The only strategy likely to work will be 'sit here and defend this building, and try not to fall asleep'.

I shall be in charge of the provision of external consultancy. My fee will be almost reasonable (subject to some minor in-flight change controls) and I will of course come up with a sustainable way to both defend and attack with fewer resources on multiple fronts while still providing cover for any significant sports events. I will do all this within lets say a 2 week period (subject to some minor in-flight change controls).

Firstly I shall need the very best of our leaders, fighters and tactitians taken off of active duty and seconded into my team so they can be ignored and demotivated at the earliest opportunity.

Please note that your intent to hold this in a Christmassy period may increase costs and durations but that is only to be expexcted and still represents excellent value for money.
