love it on toast. Or with poached salmon!!
YUK!
(Allegedlly) Like sucking a cow pat...
I think I am the only person who is indifferent to Marmite. I can eat it, but it's not my first choice for a toast covering.
The Mrs puts it in the gravy when she makes a roast though and it's nice in that.

Same here. Like it on the odd crumpet. And no, that is not a euphemism :p

Late night snacktastic. I have a supply of cricket ball shaped jars from when they did the Ashes special edition and we had the photoshoot at Lord's. The crew couldn't be bothered to take them back so I had them.

Love it plus stirred in some foods and the crisps and cheese you can get. Went to Cosco at Bluewater for party stuff in August and a big pot (not jar) of the stuff somehow fell in the trolley!
Hated the Paddington advert tho', grew up with the books and TV series so didn't want to see one of the Brown family yakking up in the policeman's hat, another bit of childhood ruined by admen pr@ts after reading too many copies of Nuts/F.H.M.

absolutely disgusting stuff yuk yuk bleurgh :pukel: :pukel:
i made the fatal mistake of using the knife my wife had used one morning to butter my toast totally unaware that she had just used the same knife to put this horrible stuff on her toast.
Nearly puked when the flavour hit my tongue. :pukel: :pukel: :pukel:
Where is Grinch when you need him, with his marmite tea pot and plates and cups?

Never tried it!
I tend to taste with my eyes so because it looks like thick trecal I will expect it to taste like that - but I know it won't!
Yummy, nice with cheese in a toasted sandwich!
Just tried it. Nice, but I think I should have had a more hardcore cheese. Missus only got a 3 on the cheese scale.
Now for anyone with marmite in their cupboard; when you get a chance try this little trick:
Put a smallish dollop of marmite on the side of a flat plate. Get a table knife and smash the beJusus out of it with the flat of the knife for about ten minutes or so and observe. DON'T reveal the results until others have had a chance to try it, or the dog gets it.
Marmite and cheese spread on toast = yum :)
Marmite chocolate is just manky
Ooh chease spread. There's something I haven't had in a while.

Yeah, do yourself a favour and get some vintage mature cheddar then it's best to marmite both pieces of bread and use a proper sandwich toaster and not a grill ;)
