0900 from where to wherever, can't go too far as I'm on call, anyone else up for some B-road battling around the local area?
Bordtea
15-09-12, 03:45 PM
I think 0400 would be a better start time
Spank86
15-09-12, 04:02 PM
Bit of an early start that, id have to wake up at half past midnight to get up there.
TVAM in the morning, and Observed ride later on, not looking too promising for me until around 4 ish

OK change of plan, I am now on 6 hours NTM so can go pretty much anywhere!:D
@Spank86 hows about a 1000 start is that late enough?
Spank86
15-09-12, 05:14 PM
An 09:00 start is fine, it was an 04:00 one that seemed extreme.

happy days where do you want to meet?
Spank86
15-09-12, 05:37 PM
Wherever, holiday inn isn't too bad or south of it, anywhere north is a bit too much of boring motorway.
Thunderace
15-09-12, 06:34 PM
internal sat nav has no co-ordinates for holiday inn hows about loomies?
Spank86
15-09-12, 07:46 PM
Thought you met there all the time?
It's real easy.
But loomies is much better for me anyway.
I'll hold off the road I think we can kill you on until fallout and mark are back, wouldn't want them to miss it.
Ace, it is where we met for bodmin!
Thunderace
15-09-12, 07:56 PM
Yes but I followed Job there and don't remember the way but happy with Loomies 0900.:D
Spank86
15-09-12, 07:57 PM
Ok, loomies it is then.
Thunderace
15-09-12, 07:59 PM

if time allows I might pop in for breakfast, got to eat somewhere right :smt102
Haselmere fire station has its annual motorbike day today, usually a good lot bikes turn up. There's bacon baps, dyno, stalls selling various bits and bobs etc etc etc and the pub is a 2 minute walk away.
I'm working (as usual) but may be worth a look in if your not travelling too far

Might have done but we were on our way the long route to popham by that time.

Spank +3 riding and leading
Thunder ace +1 attending
Rictus + 2 for Going out of his way to come meet us at loomies.
I almost forgot additional provisional +1 for thunder ace for his toe down action trying to keep up though the twisties but I'm flagging that up for special consideration from the sustainability minister.

My right boot is fecked got no toe left!:D
Nice to meet you Rictus.
I was at my first TVAM meet-up today, very very interesting.

Now do you believe everything we told you about improving your riding?
Spank86
16-09-12, 04:16 PM
Most importantly; do as we say, not as we do.
I was at my first TVAM meet-up today, very very interesting.
What did you think of it, I saw you made it back so can't have been that bad!
Bit unnerving when my observer almost had a run in with a van...
But yes i beleived you the first time
It was really good :D my observer was a top bloke and i learnt alot, kinda feel like im learning everything all over again haha

Good good, wanna see you carving up the B-roads on the next rideout.;)
But you will learn a lot, I'd been riding 12 yrs when I went and just the observed ride and a good many rides with Mark_h has improved my riding!
Might have done but we were on our way the long route to popham by that time.

I assume Spank was not subjected to another MILF attack at Popham this time.
Was the toe-down incident by chance on the Wherwell or Lavestoke Road?
Reference the sustainability I think it may be time to consider the overall sustainability of the front half of some of our ride-outs. Are we getting to the point where it's all just a bit too "progressive"? Improved confidence, skills and local knowledge go so-far but are we now getting to the point we no longer have a plan-B?
Just a thought. It's all this parental responsibility getting to me and not just an inability to keep up anymore!!

Nope, I saved that road for when were all available. I did take him down and back up the more stead road and round the roundabouts by Winchester though. And then through Easton and some murkier back roads but we went the shorter way from stoke charity to popham.

No MILF attack today, and no Idea where I was when the toe incident occurred but it was whilst chasing Spank round a roundabout.;)
Spank86
16-09-12, 05:29 PM
Think that was by Winchester, end of the 272 road.
I know those roundabouts quite well. They're fun.

What jam hasnt told you is that his observer told him his riding was borderline dangerous :D
Spank86
17-09-12, 06:40 AM
Thats okay then, as long as it's only on the borderline.
Well now he's got mentors other than Bordtea he will quickly progress to one who progresses quickly.

Jammy +1 Credit for sustainably seeking out further training. However this will be deleted if he's not actually joined up to TVAM by next 3rd Sunday.
Bordtea -1 credit for sharing something that was probably mentioned in confidence. Very unsustainable. I mean I've not mentioned me finding you sobbing in a layby just because Jammy was faster than you now did I.

Jammy knows he's dangerous, even I told him off on the Bodmin trip, yep me, I told someone off for being dangerous, what does that tell you about his riding? Although he did get a lot better over the weekend but must have slipped back into old habits courtesy of BordTea!
Any points for me taking Jammy to an advanced riding course? he liked it i think, and should join!
