I think discussion on some new stickies is in order, I propose The New Model Britain, Plebs Corner and the Credit Tracking threads be stickied, discuss.......

Nah. they are active enough to not be stickied. Maybe some less chatty, more content versions of the key threads for reference purposes could be stickied with discipline enforced to keep chat out of them. Bit like the photo comp threads.

Also need to work out how to unsticky epicuro sliding calipers.

WD40 + HAMMER = LOOSE CALIPERS.;)

But on that thing you could probably use your feet to stop!

Piston is pretty free now but the sliders are a bit weird. Each pin slides but when they are both in it seems the rubber condom thing it sits in creates too much of an airseal and the caliper is reluctant to overcome the vacuum. All now cleaner than a clean thing and nice new pads fitted. I'll give them a while to bed in but if it's all still not sliding I may make a bit of a hole in the grippy rubber boot to let it slide a bit easier.

Top tip though.... don't put any oil in the slider condom thing as it's such a tight fit it all squirts out when the caliper slides and coats yer pads!

Mark oil or normal grease will make the rubber swell, hence the boot will grip the pin, clean and dry them up, a little Red Rubber grease is all that's needed to lube them, if they are too far gone Wemoto do a complete caliper rubber kit (seals/boots and bleed nipple covers) for £39.

Cheers Mark.
