Hello people.

I'm interested in getting a headstock stand, in particular this one (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motorcycle-HEADSTOCK-Head-Lift-Paddock-STAND-Track-/370535540741?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Other_Vehic le_Parts_Accessories_ET&hash=item5645a3a805). I've looked at a lot on ebay and the like and I can't figure out how the hinge where they fold locks into place when it's being used.

Thanking you kindly in advance.

Whilst this thread is open I may as well ask if anyone has one of the above and if they're solidly built?

I've got this one. It's built well enough tbh, plenty strong enough for the job. Didn't come with any assembly instructions though so had to look at the pic on eBay to guess/work it out (not too hard).
I found it a bit fiddley to start with but once you get the hang of it they're easy enough to use and allow you to get the front off the ground in seconds. I used this mainly for fork removal and it was worth the cost IMO just for the convenience.

I can't see the link. But the headstock I've got pivots around the base (which is a underfork stand) and weight locks it position.
Mine was about 50 from Germany 2 years ago and it's paid itself off already

I got the German one off ebay too but as I'm a nicer bloke than Andrew I got mine cheaper :)

I've seen those but do we not pay import duty or is it cool as we're all in one happy little European family?

I just ordered mine off their website and paid in Euros. Was €40 which was cheaper than the £39.99 on their ebay site. You can pay Euros with paypal and it came to just over £40 incl delivery. When you set up the account look for "Großbritannien" in the country drop down.

Arrived in just a couple of days and no problems at all with anyone demanding import duty or similar. I think we're all one happy EU these days.

no import duty on anything purchased in the EU.
