View Full Version : Ireland 2013
the Old man and I are most likely doing a week long trip to Ireland next year. Trip length will be 7 days (mid week to mid week) and staying in a rented cottage/house.
Still researching prices of what the trip will cost.
I'll update costs as i find them out; ferry, cottage, trip distance etc.
Let me know if you're interested!
*** Detail ***
Trip will be in June, the week of Fathers Day (or there abouts)

Put me down as a potential mate. Sounds like it'd be good!

Nice and vague.
not vague at all, fathers day is 16th June, so it'll be from the Wednesday before to the Tuesday after (it will be within a week of this date)

Really, that's not vague at all, "or there abouts" sounds definitive to me too!
But at least we now have a definite date to work with.

Might have to run that by my dad.
It's ok for you but mine doesn't ride so I can hardly bring him.

Can't see his back being up to that.
I'm sure he'll be fine though.

You'll get a shower on fathers day, don't you worry!
If you go in May you can watch the NW200 at the same time

Please can you bring me back some Barry's Tea.
I used to stay in Tralee a lot which was a buzzing little town and the road down to Dingle would be good on a bike, plus the Ring Of Kerry is fun. I was in a car but every time I went it rained, non-stop, once for 15 days, in June. The only variation is whether it's coming at you straight down or sideways. And there were potholes everywhere big enough to need a lifeguard.

NW200 is great, also consider Skerries, truly brilliant road racing, first weekend in July, very near Dublin. During the summer months there's racing most weekends somewhere in the country, and proper road racing is something you really need to see.
See www.realroadracing.com (http://www.realroadracing.com/), 2013 calendar not up yet.
