Hi, perhaps some of you can shed light on a question I have.

I am have a bullet camera than I am going to put on my bike with the DVR under the pillion seat however I don't want the camera to stick out anywhere. It looks like it will fit in place of one of the sidelights. So the question is do I need to have both of them if any at all. I am planning on have both main lights as dipped so if one fails I have the other.

If I do need sidelights. Does anybody have any idea where I can mount the camera? It's about 22mm in diameter by 40mm long. Or where can I put some new sidelights?

Cheers

Dave

yes you need sidelights as its an MOT requirement but you could get a pair of LED's and stick them anywhere on the front as long as they are visible.

Not sure where I can put them so they don't look stuck on! Any suggestions?

How easy is it to split the headlamp unit?

Why not mount your camera in the vents in the black lower section of the fairing? You can do a lot with these and it does not show too much, I have a front facing set of indicators in mine.

I did think of in the air vent but the camera would have to come out a bit to have a clear view past the fairing. I may rig up a temporary bracket and have a look at the weekend.

Like if u put it in side light bit . Your normal beam may light the front causing no image? Or light reflecting on glass and having same affect

Both headlight have both main and dipped beam (H4 bulbs). There isn't a main only one unlike some bikes.

@joe I see what you mean. @ MJC. Yeah thats what I mean. I plan to have one bulb and a relay run on original wire and the dipped filament of other headlamp be switched from the battery via the relay unless the original wiring& switch can cope with both!
