Ok folks, After trying (and failing) to get tickets for glastonbury this year for my stag doo im looking for alternative options.

Preferably something not like going to a city and getting ****ed.

any ideas.

shooting etc is out as tbh its a bit boring.

Some kind of race event, go karting, mini motos, grass karts etc etc?

York races?

Presume your collar bones going to be a concern, so spectator sports rather than one you would do.yourself?

Or, go to a theme park?

I went kayaking down the river wye for a stag do few years ago. The company we went with had tents set up along the route next to pubs on both nights. Was awesome! Breakfast was provided in the pubs as well.

aye well the thing is we regulary go to karting/theme parks etc for peoples birthdays so im looking for something a little different. Glasto was perfect ~(ive been to a festival every year for the past 15 years and i was going to miss it due to wedding etc but its sold out. Others that interest are at the wrong times or people dont want to go back (i.e. me to download)

i fancy a challenge so doing something like the kayaking sounds good but unless something like that is guided it wont work out for us. I fancy something like a mountain bike tour but something like that would be me and maybe one other person doing it which i dont really want.

good point dizz. as im still no where near being fixed yet. im hoping to be up and running for next year tho. although anythings a gamble.

Murder, mystery weekend?
Posh hotel, dress up all spiffing, slap up dinner, play a game of Cluedo role play.

Green man festival is like a mini Glastonbury, It's way smaller but has a similar feel to it.

They do guided white water rafting etc in London at the Olympic site and at the national water sports centre in Nottingham.

Might be worth a look.

Rockness is amazing!

A long way, but book early transport wouldn't be a problem!

Really decent atmosphere, people are completely different to TITP and other festivals I have been to. (Creamfields namely)

White water rafting, looks a bit naff but is so much fun.

Amsterdam. Just sayin'.

Rockness? (http://www.rockness.co.uk/) Bigger than hip, hop, hip, hop..

Failing that there's loads of activity centres in the lakes which do kayaking, sailing, mountain biking, laser quest in the woods etc. (a bit like galloway activity centre where GM5 was this year).

Double failing that, there's this site which Owenski Matt told me about: http://www.chillisauce.co.uk/stag-weekends/

Basically you pick from a pre-pack stag weekend/adventure weekend, then set up your group, everyone books onto it and pays for themselves, then away you go. No faffing around collecting money off people and the organiser can see who's paid/yet to pay iirc.
