View Full Version : Where has respect gone?

I'd love to know which mod on here is enough of an ass hole to remove the "rip reeder" from my sig strip.
If they wanted to delete the sig, at least have enough decency and repect to leave an rip alone...

And people wonder why some of the old regulars are staying away.

Not me and i can't believe any other mod did either, not something you did by accident?

A moderator is not able to change signatures.

No.
Not an accident.
I was asked by one of the mods a while ago to tidy up my sig as "it broke up the threads too much" and if I didn't reduce it, it would be deleted as the mods had the power to remove a sig strip if needed.
Now waiting to see who in here that has the power to do that, is happy enough to delete even a line of respect to a fallen friend.

Are you telling me that you lied to me before then?!

I don't think I've ever said a moderator can change signatures. Some of the admins may have that authority but a moderator cannot change a signature.

If I think a signature needs changing I will pm the person concerned. I have no power to change it.

"Hey

Just a word about the size of your signature, it has two quote boxes and a message for Reeder. This makes it pretty big when it appears in a thread and can break up the flow for the reader. On short posts your signature will be massive compared to your post :smt087

So I wonder if you would consider cutting it down to something a little less bulky?

Thanks"

Am now trawling through old emails looking for where I was told that a mod can remove it if need be.
I knew virgin stored everything for a reason.

Perhaps they can delete them but not change them? That would provide a logical way out of the apparent paradox without needing someone to lie.

Just make a new one. I can't imagine anyone would disagree with the sentiment of your message.

Nope, i certainly can't delete users sigs as i'm pretty sure the others cant either, i think we can modify them on in a post but not so its permanent across the users other posts in future.

I'd report it then it will be looked into in mods corner by admin/ fizz.

TBH, i dont think a mod would do that without first telling the person the implications if they didnt remove it and as seeing as its a sensitive thing which others have on their sigs, im even more inclined to say it wasnt done by a mod or that person would have to delete other users' sigs too.

Did the old regulars have massive sigs and refused to make them smaller then?

Perhaps the "old regulars" are hacked off with all the moaning and whining about relatively trivial subjects? I would class myself as an "old regular" as I've been on here longer than most and I know I'm well hacked off with it all. If you have a problem then pm a moderator in the first instance. If you get no joy from them, then direct your query to one of the admins. Don't go making a huge thing out of it by starting a thread - you may well end up looking more than a little silly.

Mods can't change sigs, that's just how it is. Are you quite sure of what you're claiming?

"Which mod on here is enough of an **** hole"

"Where has respect gone?"

Was this meant to be ironic or is it just me?
