I've only seen a handful of ads promoting this but it really got my attention when I saw it for the first time.

The odds of becoming an astronaut: 1 in 13,200,000.....
The odds of being struck by lightning: 1 in 576,000....
The odds of getting stuck in a lift: 1 in 24,528...
The odds of tripping while texting: 1 in 10..
The odds of developing cancer: 1 in 3.
We can change these odds. The fight against cancer is at a turning point. Cures for cancer are within our grasp. Friday 19th October 2012. Stand up to Cancer.

Yeah that is a very good vid. I'm normally not suckered in by these things, and the statistics themselves aren't new to me, but it's very effective. I do believe we are actually at that turning point, having seen quite a few bits of news in recent months talking about massive leaps in understanding of DNA etc. So good luck to this. I know this is close to your heart mate! *man love, no reach around*

Yeah hopefully it will be a very successful event. Obviously we're all skint so for those who don't or simply can't donate it will still make for a fantastic evenings entertainment, and maybe highlight a lot of the unbelievable effort put in by the many charities/nurses/doctors/carers/everyone who helps even if it's just a cuppa tea and 5 mins having a chat to someone who's struggling to deal with the devastation which cancer causes...
Spread the link on facebook if you think it's worth letting people know about :)

Paul, I'm up for supporting this.
Is it worth me pointing out that the odds of getting stuck in a lift: 1 in 24,528... and this happened to Fugly recently and he had to be rescued by the fire brigade!

I take it he's aware that once the doors close he has to press a button to get the thing to move?

2 days to go...
If you've not spotted the adverts, it's dead easy to donate £5.
Text the word FIVE to 70404
and that's it.
Cheaper than a sandwich and a coffee from Costa or Starbucks.
100% of the money goes to Cancer Research.

I think he'd worked that out. Lucky there were no spiders in there with him.
Anyway, here's a little bump.
