Hi,
I'm looking to get my seat recovered, I have in the past had it done by an upholsterer but they just used a vinyl fabric.
This proved to be a bit too slippery.
I have spoken to my local upholsterer and they have give me a couple of swatches but they look like they are from my nan's sofa.
Does anybody know where to get some decent material thatdoesn't slip too much and to cover the seats, front and rear so they match. I'm guessing 1 square metre.
Cheers

Are you going to do it yourself or get it done for you? Lots of people on here recommend Tony Archer for seat work, and I had a great service from Smartrrrs Seats. Both may be able to supply materials if you're going to have a go yourself. Get/specify a gel pad while you're at it if you don't have one already.
I sent my seat off and got it back in the post within a week, so you won't be out of action for long if you have it done for you.

I recovered mine a bit ago - heres the thread (http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=178539&highlight=seat)
The vinyl was really slippy but it does break in after a while, it did put me off doing the pillion one though. Wasn't keen on someone sliding off the back during that breaking in period
have you tried zebedee fabrics in southborne near to were roger barrett motorcycles were? if you go down to the end of the shop he has loads of material there, or i got my seat cover from saxonseats in christchurch , he has a website you can look at, i got the busa silver/grey on on mine as he doesnt list anything for sv,s but the busa seat is similar style and looks really good :)
