Hi Guys.

I got my pointy SK7 about a month ago, and now it's time for me to do some basic maintenance on it, and get familiar with it.

If you are working on your own bike this weekend and don't mind having me around asking a few questions, please let me know.

I am looking to change the oil, inspect and possible change the spark plugs to iridum, and apply some waterproof grease to avoid water getting at them (Not sure where the grease goes, but there is a post in here I will read up on). I would also like to clean my chain and give it some fresh oil.

I believe I have all necessary tools and products, but I am looking to borrow a rear paddock stand to help me change the oil. I would appreciate working around someone more experienced than me and getting to know other people with a similar bike.

Cheers

Just to give you some background info on myself.

I am 24, a guy, working as a Software Developer in Investment Banking, and I have very little mechanical experience but because of my work I am used to logical thinking deduction and induction :)

I am from Denmark and will tell you all you want to know about it if you are interested.

I've a couple of issues to look at on the bikes at the weekend as well as the normal weekly check, so will be working on them for a couple of hours on either Saturday or Sunday, I can keep half an eye on you if you want whilst I'm doing mine ?

Cheers Mark.

Thanks Viney!

I never expected two people to come forward, that's a nice surprise.
Rictus has agreed to keep an eye on me for the weekend, but I hope I can contact you another time if I need another watchful eye?

Cheers.

Just putting my input in, doubt you'll need a second eye with Mark around :)

True.

Mark was really good to have around, I would not have completed the job on the day if he hadn't showed me a few tricks. I hope I get a chance to repay him one day :)

Still now I know, I will post a thread when im next free to see if I can learn something from a fellow orger. I love this site.
