Gav, I'm looking at you for this one, Gotta MOT the ace and want somewhere fairly close, hoping you (or someone else) might have a recommendation.

Double take motorcycles in northam. I usually go there for my bikes and they seem friendly enough, usually let you mill about in the garage and chat whilst they're doing it and they are pretty reasonable if something small is wrong, if its something small they will sometimes tinker with it for you for free, well they do with me. I'm booked in week after next for the sv (finally).

I have used village garage in colden common but I only went there as they were slap happy with MOT's (ended up looking their license eventually I think). The new owner seems like a nice bloke and my dad goes to him for MOT's not had a problem.

That's it I'm afraid, I don't really use garages as it MOT's only for me.

CHeers mate, MOT is all I need at the moment, dont think theres anything it should fail on although the chain could probably be tighter.

Was debating spike island up the road from me, not heard many good things but then it is only an MOT I want.

No they are **** heads. I only went in there once for parts when I was at eastleigh college and I was spoken to like a piece of ****. Also the bikes they sell are the most bodgy'iest heeps you'll see, worse than fallouts. You only need to take a peak into their "work shop" to see what they're like.

Yes don't like them muchly. Also Mcox is a rude **** head I don't even go there for tyres anymore, but I can't remember if he does MOTs

Yeah, that was my impression from about 12 years ago.

Nice to know they're consistent.

I think it was a 125 Yamaha of some description I looked at there, £1200 with mould growing on it... No thanks.

It's amazing how crap businesses like that can keep going. I suppose you just need a steady dream of gullible buyers.

They are shockingly bad, I went with a mate there to look at an old rm125, it wouldn't start and when it did it sounded like a bag of spanners, that was also up for 1200

When you go to double take tell them I sent you*

* don't do this, they have no idea who I am really, would probably fail your bike on the spot... I just like to sound cool

I take my bikes to Taylors in Droxford. Bit of a trek but they are a nice bunch.
MCox is a bit of an acquired taste. Best approached when not busy.
