o.k so some thieving toerag has broken into shed via the locked sidegate and stolen my 2006 KAWASAKI ZX-10R IN LIME GREEN.

It has Akropovic carbon cans (factory fitted) and is standard apart from the odd scuff down the R/H side.

It looks an awful lot like this....

The stickers on the rear and front fairing have been removed.

reg is WX06 ZGV

Thanks for keeping an eye out.

Thanks all and for the repost AS. On reflection i think toerag was probably too polite a term.

Thats just the thing. I have ridden it ONCE in the last 12 months from my house. It was outside for 5 minutes max (attended) while i put my kit on. Plus you cant see the shed from the roadside. I smell a rat.

That makes it all the more worse!

Any neighbours lost their job or got new friends to stay?

Nah, tried all the neighbours and no one saw a thing, as usual. Narrowed it down to between 9.30am and 1.30pm. My next bike's gonna have a tracker thats for sure!

Get yourself a fast well maintained beasty with crappy broken plastics, tape and cable tie remaining plastics together, no one will nick it then!

But in all seriousness bad luck old boy, cancer of the eye socket is too good for those ****s!:(

If it wasn't someone who knew it was there, then the only other explanation is pikeys breaking into sheds found it by chance. Very suspect though.

Feckin heck Si, so sorry to hear this, absolute scum. Very fishy circumstances indeed. Shared on facebook. There certainly does seem to be an increase in thefts of late #goes out to make sure garage locked# :(

What a complete ball ache.

Sorry to read this, difficult to know if it was someone finding more than they'd expected, or a targeted attack. Possibly someone's got hold of a list of registered keepers in the area?

Fingers crossed it turns up, though I can't imagine the chances are great.

The police just called! They found si's bike in the same area! Probably no more than 5 miles away. Bit gutsy leaving it in the same area. He's just gone to go see it now. Bunch of :smt013

YES! Atleast they've managed to recover it though? Pretty rare that they get recovered so quickly, if at all :) Well done West Yorkshire Police

Fingers crossed they've not molested it!

might be worth storing the bike elsewhere until you guys move maybe? Just a thought.. hopefully it'll be an easy fix then :)

Yeah will store it at his parents. We have a garage at the new place so can then put it in there chained to the floor!

Right well here is the update. Basically the bike was found roughly 400 metres (if that) from my house and had been there since sunday morning. While I was there with the cops a neighbour came over and said he'd seen someone pushing it through the streets at roughly 5.50am sunday morning so it was taken before we went out sunday. Right about the time I was awoken by some banging and decided it was the central heating and went downstairs and did sweet FA about it, gutted!

Ignition wires have all been cut and the guy said the thief fiddled about with it for a bit then gave up and walked off round the corrner, big guy in a puffer jacket. Too dark to get a decent description. He was probably watching me while it was being recovered and having a right old laugh.

So it's at the compound now and i'll ring the insurance tomorrow to give them the news, apparently they are only open between 9 and 5.30pm, mega handy!

So a big thanks for all the reposts and messages and Joe no can't say i know the guy but I spoke to his parents, give him a thanks from me please. Thanks again guys and girls :)

Will let you know what the insurance company advise, here's a map to show the scumbags route...if said scumbag is reading this i am storing it elsewhere from now on, and breeding rabid testicle eating wolves in the shed. Do your worst.

Ask the police to recover and hold it until you can get an alternative.
Its technically evidence until forensics have done with it

Remaining understandable whilst been as vaige as possible here goes. If you're moving to near where you mentioned to me recently then we have a mutual friend who is aware of these events who owns a small business part shared with his father. They have secure premises where you may be able to store if it required, I'd be sure the cost of storage would be nothing more than a few drinks and a bed for a night after said drinks.
