I had the family holiday of a lifetime booked. An Asia cruise kicking off in Beijing, then Soaul, Nagasaki, Shanghai, A couple of days in Hong Kong then Ho Chi Minh city, Singapore finishing in Bangkok. A few days either side for sight seeing.

Travel agent has phoned. The ship is now in dry dock when we planned. So princess have cancelled our holiday with full refund. They have offered alternatives. But not the itinery we wanted.

Grrrhhh, seriously unhappy.

i would be tempted to find a few quotes for the same holiday and say due to the fact they have made you wait the prices have now gone up and you want the difference...

ps if they fob you off go higher etc

If the ships in dry dock its because it needs something repairing, I seriously doubt they wanted to do it.

Princess are normally an excellent cruise line.

I should have said, this holiday is booked for 2014, so they had it published. accepted bookings 18 months ahead, surely if they were planning dry dock that far ahead, their engineering people and cruise people should have talked ages ago.

Do P&O do something similar?

My folks are serial cruisers, Technically on their 4th of the year - Thet did Xmas/New Year, Easter(ish) August and are away for another month right now.

P&O were excellent when most of the way through the last one my Uncle died, had the arrangements made (at my Dads cost admittedly) to get him off the boat and back to the UK in about 2 hours from my Dad letting them know about the situation.

Maybe this one? (http://www.pocruises.com/Cruises/2013-cruises/Aurora-World-Cruise-RSX/?mode=overview&Search=true)

If you can wait till the middle of next month I can get more details from my Dad on his experiences.

Work hard mate. Every time my new bike fund looks healthy, the wife gets itchy feet. She calls it priorities, her happiness has priority over mine.

Cracking motto!
I know you got yours Carl, so you're loving proof it can happen but us mere mortals more often than not stumble upon our paths, we rarely choose them even if its our choices that get us there.

(A note from the pad of Owenski, looking up from his desk just about long enough to think... How the **** did I get here?!)
