Just found them on the wall within a couple of inches of each other. were still (ice cold upstairs as central heating is only on downstairs) started zooming about once in front room on tissue paper. My guess would be fly larvae?
*Oh and they are the size of a grain of rice

They are larvae of the Death Beetle, named due to the fact that touching the larvae can lead to a slow and painful death. Symptoms start about 36 hours after touching and death usually occurs 48 hours after that.

Sorry my phone struggled with that pic. They are now in the bin, although alive in the bin. They were covered in hairs, prob hard to discern on the photo

Look like woolly bears (carpet beeetle larvae), i had them in my flat years ago, came from pidgeon nest on the balcony. I kept the nest cos i have never met anyone who has seen a baby pidgeon! Have you?
I pushed off the balcony (11 floors) after i found out the infestation came from nest.

Hadn't hatched, flying rats as you say!
Has anyone ever seen a baby pidgeon? By the time you see them on the street, they already have mangled feet etc, or was that just the ones in Sheffield?

Nope. A clause in the franchise wording says every railway station in the country has to have a colony of mutilated flying rats living in or around it.
