All things considered these have got to rank among the best, complete with "sum it up" quotes and belting soundtracks:

"Capacity to spit at back of head; neutralised"

And another favourite:
"what the f***s going on"

What's yours?

Ah so many to choose from, I could list a top10 let alone a couple. The fight scene in the bourne ultimatum is pretty darn epic.

I also really like this fight scene from the korean movie old boy, mainly because of the way it's shot and the music to compliment the scene. Plus if you've seen the movie you know how twisted it all is anyway.

edit: link removed, ^beat me to it

And of course Rocky Balboa vs Ivan Drago - Rocky IV

The bank robbery in "Heat"
Good one - 27 billion rounds in such a short time.

Old Boy is a epic, great film.

Fight scene for me is in Ip Man, when he fights ten Japs one after the other and asks for more! Actually either film, its fight scene heaven!

The Raid, there is a 20 minute fight scene which makes the Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris fight scenes look a little bit over choreographed

Jackie Chan's First Strike stepladder fight scene remains one of the most awesome fight scenes I've seen. When you watch the outtakes and see the kind of injuries he takes, it's even more impressive.

Skip to 3:00 minutes for the step ladder bit if you don't want to watch the rest of the fight.

But the best gun fight scene without a doube is Hard Boiled! 1 single take, never cuts away, 2 minutes of action. Amazing!

No no no. THIS is the most epic fight scene ever. Bridget Jones' Diary... be warned it features the F word said in a silly posh accent and two men scrapping like a couple of girls.

were saying this last night, but as the poota was not on, couldn't link :p

I do like a good martial arts film. I am very fond of the protrayal of Bruce Lees mentor, here we have fighting an aggressor without fighting. Here is Donnie Yen poker face :)

How much of the Ip Man series of films is true to the real life story is anyones guess, but they are absolutely fantastic. The trailer teaser for number two is enough to wet anyones appetite. Can't wait to see number 3 and 4! Bruce Lees mentor must have been epic! The full length boxing scene in this one is awesome :)

Best shooty-shooty scenes IMO have to be either Aliens (the first battle when the marines get ambushed by the xenomorphs) or Matrix (lobby scene - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Es2uYtSJh-Y).

Can't provide clips i'm afraid - that's waaaaaay beyond my capability.

I must say I am impressed with the Org's knowledge of the asian-type movie scene :)

I'm not just into the martial art films that come from Cine Asia. I like the great big Epic stuff like Red Cliff too. Only thing about those types of films, is I swear the do all the battle scenes for every film in the same valley!!

Yes Dizzy, that an awesome choice of moive seen them and loved it!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzQBB4YICwM

This is from Starwars,
Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn vs Darth Maul

Starwars is pretty much based on Kung-Fu e.g force Chi, sifu is master in Chinse ect. The fighting techinque is Wing-chun, which is what Bruce Lee learnt at the start.

Also Fearless is amazing. If you want to see an awesome gun fight, watch true grit for the shot out on horse back at the end of moive that is epic. Yes "Heat" is a good moive, but I think this is better. Also if you haven't GoodFellas, then I'd watch that too.
