How much should I ask for my bike?

I have a Suzuki SV650s K9 Sport 2009 with a Meta Alarm, AlphaDot,Tail Tidy, Disc Lock and GXR USD Forks. 2009 Sept was the date of first reg, mot and tax till June 2013. Less than 9K miles. So a Seat cover/Solo seat with an Immobiliser.
The only imperfections are stone chips on the tank. The damage is only cosmetic.

The SV’s stock exhaust system has been fitted a Yoshimura Exhaust System end can. The oil & filter has just been changed. I have more oil and another K&N filter for the next change so the next owner will have that too.

The SportMax II tyres are almost brand new-they still have the chicken strips on them! To sum up:
*Excellent tyres,
*Yoshimura Exhaust System, (sounds unbelievable)
*Up-Side Down HD Front forks,
*Meta Alarm System (brings down insurance)
*A free bike cover & a carry case
*A disc lock with 2 keys and a reminder cable
*A rear seat with a grab rail (doesn't come with the bike)
*The rear cowl that transforms the bike into a single seater
*Oil & filter for the next oil change
*Alpha Dot system

How much do I ask for her???:confused:

Just my opinion Of which I believe you asked The way I'm looking at it is I have to buy a new tank PR get it resprayed so I would pass on it as I like my bikes in better condition, I don't ride because I have to i ride because I want to so want my bikes in excellent condition.

anyway i think it's been crashed so if it's be registered with the insurance company then its worth less if not then worth more. it's a lovely bike with some nice mods and £2500 would seam a fair price at this time of year but being this time of year you will struggle to sell it. also a lot of people are put off with bikes that have been modded to the extent yours has due to difficulty getting insurance and young riders premiums will be high due to this.

if you want to sell it easier then my suggestion would be to put a standard front end back on and get the tank tidied up.

I agree with standard front end - I'd avoid that as I'd be wary of how well and who it'd been done by .nive bike though.

BTW a lot of that gravel rash will come out with a good old bit of rubbing with something such as farecla G3 then get a new decal made up and a little tub of touch up paint without the thinners then call in a chip repair specialist who will fix the rest using the paint you got.

The scratches on the tank are nothing as long as the tank is intact. The most expensive part of that job would be getting matching paint. Echo about the mods, but as is I would say its worth 2.7k with the mods. But the market price will be nearer 2k simply because there are a lot for sale at the moment.

First owner, don't know who, word of mouth from the garage! It was a crash, a drop I was told. Thanks for pointing out that this isn't the sale section, some people just can't put two and two together. :smt019

Really? I couldn't find one at 2.5k at all on ebay or AutoTrader. I guess that those two are the most popular of the lot?

The tank IS intact, and where do I buy paint from? Is it really worth all the trouble? That's how I bought it from the 2nd owner. :smt040

yes it's worth getting the tank fixed as it will make it sell easier. people will pay more for a bike that's not scratched and believe it or not but the bike would be worth more with a standard front end unless you can find someone with lots of NCB willing to take it of your hands.

i waited and looked for ages till the right bike came along.

Where do I get the paint from though? I don't have any NCB as this was my first big bike and insurance wasn't bad at all! :D

yes that the stuff.

there is a company on ebay that do the paint. unless your good at spraying then don't even think about trying to cover up the scratches with paint yourself as it will come out worse.

yes but how old are you and did you tell your insurance about the front end?
