went sideways around a mini roundabout yesterday.... Anyway, all the frost got me thinking about fixing my right hot grip. The left one works fine (its a little cold, but better than nothing) the wiring i can see on the right one looks fine. My grips came fitted with the bike, so i don't know where to look for common faults. I don't really want to take the tank off and root about too much.

Anyone here have heated grips? Can you think of a simple thing that could cause this problem?

I have had this problem with a set of Oxfords. (The ones with the dial as oppossed to the buttons) and its always the right hand grip!

Replaced the controller box. Sorted. I used a set of "Dr Bike" heated grips from J&S Accesories. Same equipment, different brand, a ton of money less.

I used electrical grease (DC4 Dow Corning) inside and out and blocked up the connectors, to give a more protection from the wet and have had years of toasty palms.

Hope some of that is a help.:)

+1 for Dr Bike grips, mine are heading into their second winter now after being used nearly all year round. With the time you might spend trying to trace the fault you might be as well to get some new cheaper ones. Swings and roondaboots :)
