I may join you but might wimp out and come in the car because my elbow is still sore from the fall I had in Thailand. Not bike related this time, but same elbow! Any armour near it hurts like hell at the mo. Plus I haven't ACF50'd the bikes yet and I'm unlikely to get a chance before the weekend.

The weekend forcast looks good.
So can someone work out a time to meet at Tesco Copdock petrol station to get to Southwold for 12:30 on the cross country route toYoxford.
If on the day it looks to dodgy to go cross country, then we'll go the east way, it'll just be quicker.
If you don't want to go cross country, just aim to be at Southwold Pier for 12:30
SvRich & Kai will be going straight there from their gaff's
I'm working away so I'm not on my home PC until tomorrow night so it would be helpful if someone can work out the time to meet at Tesco's
Tesco>A14>A140>A1120>Southwold is roughly 43 miles and 1hr 8mins depending on your speed.
Tesco>A12>Southwold 46 miles and 1hr 11mins.

takes a bit longer , the pretty way ...its quiet twisty in places , and a couple of villages to go through,so an hour and a halfs a better estimate ... either that ,or i must be a bit of a big girls blouse when i go up ...
MARTIN!!!! when do i need to meet you then?
40 mins before we leve Tesco so 10. 30 be fine . ;)

It's never not been open the last 3 years we've been going.
This time of the year, Saturday & Sunday are their busiest days
If not candy floss & a kiss me quick hat are the order of the day
Its just as much about the journey as the destination.
Or is that life ???
Very philosophical of you =)
Some might say old and wise .
Others past it and too dam slow on a ride out ;)
Heh, I don't think I'll be blasting away. Not really my thing. Like the take it in to be honest. Plus not the best weather for it.
My wife wonders why you mad lot didn't do a chip run in the summer when the nights were long and warm? Shall we do one next summer?
Your wife speaks sense!
Don't think I'll be making this ride now; too much other stuff going on, and it's blinking freezing!
Oh and bathwiggle - what DO you mean? ;)

Yes, at the A12/A14 intersection go straight across the roundabout (as if you were going into Ipswich) and take the first exit into Tesco's/Mothercare/Burger King.
Don't worry if you miss this, as the next one also goes into Tesco
See you in the lorry park bit

Never mind price per gallon, before decimalisation I used to put a gallon of 2stroke in my Franny B for 5/3[5shillings 3pennies]-----or 26p per gallon for Esso Golden in todays money.
**** me that was half a century ago.
Ok . Emma facebook me we need a plan
1971 - 35 pence a gallon , thats 35 pence for 4.5 litres or about 8 pence a litre .
proper petrol it were in them days , petrol wit lead in it .
Dicky Ticker was that the petroil pump where you could put a couple of shots of 2t into the petrol or did u mix it separately ? - Yep I am oldish too :-)
11am at Copdock tomorrow if the bike starts .

Ok ..see you2 at the 8 ball then . You want to go the easy way or via the corners tiptree /peldon .
Kai;
If you like we could meet up at the McD's just outside Beccles and ride round together?
If it was nice we could go the slightly long way and go through Somerleyton. It would take about 45mins so meeting at McD's 11.30 would be a good time. Drop me a PM if you want my mobile number.

Thanks everyone for a good ride out, nice to see some old friends again, plus some new faces. Sorry I didn't get to speak to all of you.
I was a proper SV ride out, as there were more SV's than other bikes, I know, who'd have thought that?
I look forward to more EAR/Essex lounge rideouts, but that's a bit of a mouthful, so lets just call them EarSex group from now on :p
Treated the Sv to an oil & filter change when I got home, plus I cleaned and lubed the chain too

Thanks to svrich for taking me back to Beccles via Reeders memorial at the road side. Here's the pic of the plaque on the dreaded tree, Svrich gave Reeder the beer, can't go wrong with a bottle of Stella :)

Cest la vie mate, yes, they got there fine, I was the last one there
Its been a regular event for the last 3 years, I can't remember who thought of it originally.
Today's route was better, not as dull as going directly there on the A12, so we'll use that again.
4 SV's in this photo, SVRiches arrived later, and Hammishes round the corner, which makes 6 SV's!

It was a good trip out. Nice to ride a different set of roads from the usual commute.
A bit odd dropping off the beer on the way home. He would have hated coming out in the cold, but would have donned the big green suit, I'm sure.
The Meat Run is penciled in for March. I'll happily pick the baton up after missing out last year. I'm sure I can remember most of the route anyway - no need for stupid satnav :)
Glad to read you all had a good time :)
