Looked out of the window at work this morning (do that a lot) and spotted one of these in the bike bays.

The side-mounted rads made it look odder than the pic has you believe but the styling and engineering certainly stand out. Asked about but nobody knew who came in on it so did not get chance to quiz the rider. Anyone had a go on one? Stats make it sound interesting although I'm not sure Bagster make a tank cover for one and my Givi V46 would just look wrong on the back of something like this...

One slightly disturbing thing is the blurb says the frame is made of "decomposable steel and aluminium". To me that just sounds wrong!

If it fell over, and that radiator broke, instant write off?

Saw one of them at a dealers a while ago. I love the look of them, not too pricey either for a benelli. I'd get one :D

I like that swing arm. Wonder if it could be fitted to a SV...

There's a small Benelli dealer right next to the Silverlink retail park (Orion business park) in Newcastle. They do look nice, not heard much about them though.

whats going on with the headlight pod, looks sort of detached from the bike

It looks even more detached in the flesh.

Does anyone know where abouts in Wales these things are made? I'm assuming it's pronounced Ben-eth-lee.

You have to go a bit more extreme to stand out.
Lots of similar bikes in that style about now.http://www.motorcycle.com/gallery/gallery.php/d/261334-2/Aprilia_Shiver_-IMG_1482.jpg?g2_GALLERYSID=TMP_SESSION_ID_DI_NOISS ES_PMT

Coming from the factory like that saves you having to crash it yourself I suppose.

The Benelli looks like a muddled together version of a speed triple and a ducati monster/streetfighter not that's a bad thing.

I do like the chassis and swing arm sort of alien future style.

Eh:confused:

They're owned by a chinese company : http://www.wautom.com/2012/07/benelli-motorcycle-is-owned-by-chinese-qianjiang-group/

As far as I'm aware they are still made in Italy:

Lanelli - just up the road from where Pirelli tyres are made.
