Hi guys
Could do with bit of advice here have a sv650 2000 plate keeps having a problem I can go out on it for a good few hours riding as soon as I stop for cig etc I go to get on bike again and it won't start at all have had the bike in bits and tested volts which are always below 13 v even at 5000 revs have changed alternator rec/reg relay and have checked all wires etc still no luck could it be Just a naff battery any ideas as I am running out also just to mention the bikes volts seem to get alot worse when bike is warm thanks

A good battery should be holding 13.2V. Test the battery at rest. Charging you should see about 14.5V.

Yes have tested when bike off and it's below 13 v just don't want to get a new battery if it's another problem

do you have access to another bike/battery to see if the charging system is working ok?

No not really just gone and got a new battery here's hoping it works

Ok so just gone and bought a pre charged battery charged by shop and no difference have officially run out of ideas now :confused:
