Hi,
Anyone done this? I tried the procedure in the FAQ, but no go. I can make a link to the image, but not include the image itself. I want to post some mods I've done, but when I reduce a JPEG with Gimp to 125K, it isn't worth much. Thanks.
Cheers
Lou

When you are writing your post, you will see there are a bunch of buttons above the text box. There is one with what appears to be mountains on it, if you hover your mouse over it then the words 'insert image' appear. Click that, then copy your JPG link into the pop-up box that appears. Then click enter. This will link your image into your post.

Have not used Google Drive but Photobucket has helpful links in multiple formats against the pics you upload to facilitate this sort of thing. I tend to copy the ones with the [img] marks around them and simply paste to my post - it does the same thing as Luckypants describes above. See if you have anything similar on your repository.

Yes, Google Drive gives you links but when I use the 'Insert Image' icon I get nothing in the preview. I'll give Photobucket a shot (if it's free).

It works just fine from Picasa.

When you get the pre view in Google drive you get the option to left click to view image.open up that link and copy the address

the problem is that this URL (link) from Google Drive does not point to the actual JPG file, but to a generated Google Drive page that displays the image.
The picasa link (https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-gOkQ5s8L5cA/UKrpNmiTbQI/AAAAAAAAABA/XyreyviT-8U/s720/DSCN3545.JPG) points directly the JPG image file and so displays correctly.
To display the image on here you need the URL (address) of the actual image file that will end .JPG usually.
Try what NTECUK suggests.
That's how I posted it up.
Well I used my Sam SII mobile.
Might be left click with a proper mouse ....
