Just bought a quadzilla 200 with a kawazaki 500 gpz engine in. And the left hand cylinder (sitting on bike) has stopped . I started it up didnt hold idle so knew it dropped a cylinder saw fuel leaking from the cylinder, either from exhaust studs or somewhere else :S, if the coil pack has packed im would this make the cylinder leak fuel as its not sparking it? Or is it something else . Only just got it and its been gay lol :(. I thought it was carbs,
But its not

Could the fuel line have come off? I wouldn't have a clue tbh, that's why I ask org too

How do you know it's not a carb problem? Have you actually checked for a spark?

If petrol is pouring out of the cylinder I would think its a carb problem.Probably a stuck or sunk float or a crudded up valve allowing fuel to flow constantly from the tank into the carb, then flooding into the engine, then coming out somewhere.

Dont blame the poor old gpz engine. My old k reg commuter hack starts first time, pulls well and has never dropped to one cylinder! Sounds like float sticking/crud under needle. Have you been out in wet(i know its hard to avoid) or off road? Wondered if it had got moisture to it, I have heard gpz were prone to it though mine hasn't.
