Whats your thoughts on Rafa being brought in. I've never understood getting rid of a manager during the season if your not in real trouble, i mean Chelsea might not of won the Prem title but top four was always going to happen. You cant have the players that departed at the end of last season leave and expect the new boys to take up the gauntlet straight away no matter how talented they are. Even with Abramovich being as ruthless as he is, why would Rafa a man with previous serious heart problems take arguably the most stressful job in football even on short term. I think that even though Pepe will end up with the job next season, i don't think anyone will be good enough until Roman leaves and they can actually set up a proper system/infrastructure of management.

Also what two factors did Liverpool have when they were doing so well? Benitez and Torres (along with a load of other spanish players)... Anyone seen the Chelsea team lately lol.
IMO Benitez in will see great results for Chelsea, He wont stay on though I think he'll use the improvement at Chelsea to push his way into the Man City manager position because Manchini wont be holding that down without a title win... which they wont get.

On the sentiment of the Abramavich needing to cool his boots I agree 100% its stupid to kick managers out all the time, no team in the world will win Carling, FA, Prem and Champions League in the one season ever again to aim for that you need consistency and financial backing which none of the big 4 have had in a long long time.

Torres still has it IMO but Liverpool have a knack of over publishing good strikers so they appear god like and if Suarez wasn't a racist ***** he'd be loved just the same.
