There are others, smudge doesn't come in here these days he's busy with music and got himself a Triumph, there's a fella up Rishworth too.


Tbh, there's loads of SVs around Hx. Just not many on here!

Meh, well that sucks. We should print invitational flyers an stick them on any sv we see, demanding they get their **** into gear and sign up to this thing haha

Ok so we don't technically live in Halifax any more but we still go there a fair bit so there's still a good chance you'll see us which I think is the point of this thread is it not. Except YC's SV is in hibernation mode and has been for rather a while. If you see a filthy yellow naked curvy that will be me. Usually with a topbox bolted on the back seat.

Funny you should mention that, apart from being a very pretty sv, with an action man pillion, it also advertises sv650.org on its rear seat plastics does mine :)

I'm from Halifax.
Although, as I am now a southern softie I doubt you will see my SV in Halifax. Unless I am visiting family......

Kirklees is an option to move to next year. if the showroom takes off. Holmfirth though......nearer to Derbyshire if possible.

How does being in Kirklees hide any shame anyway?

Gomersal park hotel is luberly been to quite a few wedding in there.
How often are you actually up this way Ralph?

Pick a town in Bradford and spend some time there, then pick a town in Kirklees and spend some time there... If I then said you'd got to pick one of the two towns to go back to Kirklees wins everytime.
Only 2 towns in Kirklees come close to the majority of Bradford, and the cause is the same.

How often are you actually up this way Ralph?

It's a bit random TBH, couple of weeks ago I was up there nearly the whole week, haven't been back since. Up on Tuesday but only up and back on the same day.

A lot of my trips nowadays are up and back in the day, but that's 4 1/2 hours plus driving in a day, plus 7 hours in the office, and I'm getting very sick of the M1, it gets worse with the winter weather and lack of daylight.

Must have stayed around 100 nights in the Gomersal in the last 4 years though.

Aye, GSR750 is the daily but its a new bike so I want it wrapped up and safe before the salt comes.
That cant happen though until the SV in the thread on here is completed, once thats completed I'll be on that every day through winter.

Plenty of folk love their SV's, I think we all love them its just that for some/most the SV is a great all rounder so it gets used all round which often means it doesn't get a wash. The exception to this is Tom(_the_great), Tom likes his bike clean and dry it will be getting its first MOT next year with roughly thousand miles per year on the clock.

My sv is the spare these days, but its far from a winter hack.


Are you sure you want to see it, I'm sure most are fed up of seeing its beautiful awesomeness!

Suppose if he can't see, then he also can't see that the SV is the baby of our family. The SV is the baby and the spare these days as we also have a ZZR14 and a VRaptor 1000 to play with.:thumleft:

Mine...she's muckier than this atm, poor girl. Good thing it gets dark early haha. She currently has one motocross handguard and one standard...she's in the process of getting another,, it is in the garage waiting patiently :-P
