Having been splashed by a laser when flying I can tell you it's not funny!

Some idiot did it to the police helicopter near East Midlands airport, they called up a ground unit and he was arrested, and again when he did it the following night. Some forces use the specific offence of using a laser others the much more serious endangering the safety of an aircraft, the fines that accompany a conviction based on that one can be huge!!

I've yet to be lasered but the aircraft ahead of me was once lasered on the way into brum, fortunately they left us alone - and a number of my colleagues have been got in Liverpool recently.
