View Full Version : Painting a seat cowl?

Just bought a seat cowl in blue on eBay for £36, seemed like a decent deal!

It's not the right colour, my bike is white - so i'll respray it.

Anyone know how much something like this would norm cost, or is it easy to do? There is a place on eBay selling glass splash white paint in a can so could use that to do it myself if it's easy?

Just sand it down real good using finer and finer sand paper ending up with wet and dry. Then paint it building up the layers, taking your time and not putting on to heavy a coat. But the trouble is getting the color to match the rest is real hard especially white. But its quite rewarding to do yourself i think its worth a shot. But it wouldn't cost that much to get done by a shop.

Do you have any examples of your work, website etc? The last guy I used was frustrating to say the least.

Cheers
