I always try and set a non-bike theme, especially when it is almost too cold to ride.
With Christmas approaching and having just returned from visiting some beautiful Buddhist temples in Thailand I thought this month the theme should be something related.
So your challenge is to sum up in one photo, Religion, Faith, Spirituality.
RULES (http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=144708) Please Read them
(Think yourselves lucky, I could have gone for Elephants, Monkeys, Crocodiles as I saw plenty of those! :))

Considering they aren't allowed any money I'd love to know how a monk affords kit like that!
This is the War Memorial where my son laid the Remembrance Day wreath for the Scouts on 11/11/12
We don't go to Church as much, but when we do we always Remember the fallen.

HDR from 3 images and strightened / cropped
I took this on a thailand trip a few years back. Seems perfect for this months theme :)

A really awesome pic, I call it "Consensus to controversy" because I'm all arty 'n' stuff, yo'. Desaturated and contrasted from original.

Taken at Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep neat Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Here is my first competition entry...
Took a couple of months ago in Salisbury Cathedral. It hasn't been edited as much as it appears, as this is 3 exposures merged together for an HDR result.
Annoyingly I can only find this version with my stupid watermark on it. I'll replace it when I can with the real thing.

St David's cathedral, Pembrokeshire, in August last year. This is taken from the crossing, looking straight up at the vaulted ceiling of the central tower. I got some odd looks lying on the floor to take it but the colours and light were too good to miss.

The ancient Romans had some massive religious erections, as you can see from this figurine of the god Priapus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Priapus), from the Romano-Germanic museum in Cologne.

Erm, Santa only brings me a camera on Christmas morning! Not a lot of time to get a photo this month!!! :-)
Being 8 hours behind and minus 32C outside didn't leave a lot of options this month :-)

OK well I guess its now VOTE OFF time.
(Interestingly, Troy's photo which caused such a stir in the chat thread doesn't seem much different from most of the others now the entry list has filled out)
I'm gonna have to go with:
Sir_Trev as the pic makes me stop and look every time I see it, nice shot!

Job. Nice exposure on the stained glass and you can make out the stories in all the panels just as the artist intended.
Troy, as it's was better than mine and it was the effect I was going after.
Also have learn't a lot more about photography after looking up loads of stuff on the interweb afterwards :0)
