Still for sale? Can I pay you to get the tax and test done before I pick it up?
See two posts above yours Alan.

I don't know what YHM means, and I thought the "pleasure doing business mate" was a joke because the one in the lower pic looks nicer! And then the next guy says "bargain" so I thought maybe it's still available. Alas.

This GS500 is back up for sale.
Mainly due to lack of use as I ride my FZR's mostly. It is now running a bit lumpy as it's been standing so long. Will drain the V old fuel and stick some fresh in over the Easter weekend.
Bad points - other than lumpy running.....just the crappy frame paint. The MOT tester explained that these are notorious for bad finish on the frame.
I bought it in a hurry as I thought my every-dayer had drawn it's last breath. In a flurry it had a new battery, new ABE fork stanchions with genuine oil & dust seals and genuine new bushes. New EBC HH front pads. New plugs and caps with the correct plug rubbers :clown:
This all got it an MOT in mid Feb.....which was nice. What was nicer was finding the head gasket hadn't failed on my FZR and a service and sonic carb clean has got it running half decent again :smt041
So I've spent nearly £300 on it but need rid. Bearing in mind it might need the carbs flushing through I don't think £500 is over the top.
Located near Southend-on-Sea.
It has no tax so will need picking up. I am not insured on it so can't help out on that one.

Won't be putting it on fleabay until 3rd week in April as I'm away to Europe in about a week and a bit. Is for sale in a Facebook group but thought I'd give fellow orgers first dibs really.

Out of interest did it sell?

No I never did get round to putting it on ebay.
The lumpy running was annoying me so I stripped the carbs and had them ultrasonically cleaned. Replaced a couple of missing O-rings and fitted slightly larger main jets and lifted the needles one notch.
Had it running from a bladder tank and now all seems ok. Getting some new petrol hose this weekend and going to put it all back together.
If you are local you're welcome to come have a look any evening. Saturday am I am taking my FZR250 for an MOT.
Done no miles on the road since I've had it as I'm not insured on it yet, and wont be until mid-June.
