Come on then members of the mighty org, tell us who has impressed or angered, brought tears of joy or boiling rage this year.
And it doesn't have to be anyone famous, but if we won't recognise the name we'll need a line on why you chose them.
Let's exclude Jimmy Savile as he was already dead when the year started.

So if I just don't wear any trousers, then everything will look perfectly normal.

George Osborne
He has truly outdone himself this year. In no particular order he has increased tax for old people, charities and anyone who likes their sausage rolls hot, has been forced into*reversing*these decisions, cut welfare payments and implemented massive spending cuts effecting public sector jobs and the NHS. Oh, and he has just announced that he has missed a self-imposed target to see debt fall by 2015, and that these austerity measures will continue until at least 2018. In fact the only thing that Osborne has been consistent on is helping out his Conservative pals by cutting the top rate tax from 50% to 45%. Wonderful.

Changing the thread to be "of the millenium"...
Villain - Gordon Brown. Ruined millions of pension funds by withdrawing tax relief and was criminally negligent in sitting back without putting credible controls into the banking and other areas allowing the economy to collapse.
Hero - George Osborne. For trying valliantly to clear up the mess caused by more than a decade of mis-management and getting flak for doing so.
There. Nice and balanced now. Back to you NTECUK.

Has Gideon (lets use his name at birth) put any controls in to sort out the banking situation, or closed any loopholes that allow his mates with big companies to get away with paying no or little tax. Cause he'd really become a hero to me if he did. I wait for the day... Better not hold my breath though...
As for my personal choice for a hero, its a old friend who was there when I needed them most just to listen and be a freind, they had enough sh!t on their own plate (probably more than me in the end) but they still made time for me. I thank them for that so much.
Villain - oh probably myself I'm my own worst enemy at times... Head and @rse are in close proximity far too often...

Villain : Every American who thinks owning a gun is a good idea and a human right
Hero - Mitt Romney for ostracising 50% of Americans as freeloaders.

no you certainly don't need one, i for one am rather glad he didn't make into office with some of the views i heard about!
Hero: Valentino Rossi, for proving it's not all about the money, eating some humble pie, and going back to Yamaha for next year.
Vilain: Valentino Rossi, for failing to stick to his guns and work the problems out, jumping ship and freezing Dovi out of a ride.
Perspective, it's a funny old thing innit? :D
