No requirement for pass certificate or CBT -------------CBT is fairly recent and I think my 1963 pass certificate is lost. This possibly only applies to newer riders with no records of previous insurance.
everyone can expect premiums to go up after all the recent flooding.
never been asked for license details or pass certificates.
OOOOH lots of replies. Sorry guys. Haven't logged in for a while.
I've seen that money saving expert site but it gives me really silly alternatives like "librarian".... :/
Ill keep trying with the different options. Maybe something will work.
Incidentally, my chain doesn't come up on the options list. What do you do? I have a mammoth chain; I think it's one of the endorsed ones

Ring them.
Personally I don't declare my disc lock, the simple reason being if it is nicked and you haven't used it then you may not have the option to claim.
Then again I probably wouldn't bother claiming for a theft. My 4 wheeled insurance is that expensive I couldn't afford it to double if I'd made a theft claim and the increased premiums would easily claw back any pay out I got for even a half decent vehicle!

If that's the case try calling them, my lock doesn't always appear on the lists but if I call them they usually accept it.

That's a bloody good point mate, they may not care about the odd times you don't use it like visiting a friend etc!

Ring a broker i got a killer deal, i know insurance has gone up but one of the big companies wanted an extra £300 from the previous year, changed companies and kept all the recovery and foreign travel and using other peoples bikes etc but for peanuts compared to my previous. Always ring internet isn't always the best.
