View Full Version : Mobile Tyre Fitters near Luton?
Anyone know of any? Got home today and bike felt bloody awful, turns out I have a puncture in my rear tyre...thankfully made it home.
Unfortunately the bike is unridable (obviously) and I have no way of getting the rear tyre off to take it to be replaced due to having no Padock stands. So anyone know of any that can do same day?

Don't need a paddock stand. Is your bike in a garage/somewhere safe and do you have axle stands?

Have you tried pumping it back up? See if it will hold for long enough to get to a garage?
Is the tyre finished ie low tread ?,
imoho i would fill it up with the foam stuff and get it to a garage...
may even last/hold onto the pressure for a few days/weeks maybe...
Yeah spank theres a petrol garage next to my house, took it there and it wouldnt even start to pump up.
Mine's doing this, got someone en route now (I'm in Surrey though) £45+vat just for a call out and then a new tyre on top by the looks of it, feel ****ing awful...right before christmas too :(
Yeah its crappy :(
Tyre is shot, Was actually planning on replacing it after work yesterday but got held back for nearly 2 hours so the garage was closed... typical... Also have no garage or Axel stands, all in all...pretty crappy :( found somewhere in Luton that do mobile bike tyre fitting :) just waiting on a call back :)
BAH... They won't remove the wheel or put it back on only come and change the tyre of a wheel I have already removed...... IF I COULD GET THE F***ING THING OFF I WOULD BE IN THIS B*****D PREDICAMENT....
Anyone ever used Holts Tyre Weld? How long is it good for like distance wise and speed wise?
EDIT:
Works a treat :) as long as you keep moving I found, Moment i stopped all the foam started spurting out of the puncture.
haha, I'd get this sorted asap! I got charged over £200 for the bike to be picked up and the tyre fitted, balanced and so on. Feels like I've been punched in the balls but it had to be done :(
Pirelli corsa rosso (or whatever they're called though) so a decent enough tyre!
