This'll be interesting! Pouring rain, wet roads, and brand new tyres. [-o<

Always scrub mine in the pouring rain as it happens.

What's the problem?

It was a lighthearted comment, no more.

No chavs and no traffic lights on my journey today.

New tyres, rain?

Normally scrub in the wet, just use the throttle lightly. TBH I can get a set of tyres scrubbed in, in around 5 miles in the Dry

Oh ye of little faith! If you ride directly upright all the time and panic brake whenever an insect wonders into the road, it's possible to scrub all the required 1 inch width of tyre surface in within 5 miles!

No chance, my definition of scrubbed is still shiny to most and having a industrial estate on your doorstep (with a bends thats about 3/4 mile long) also helps as its empty on a weekend

I can scrub in and bed in a set of tyres in the snow, in about 1.5 miles to be honest

I hate bedding in tyres....more so in the wet.

Last year my tyres got bedded in spending a day on my favourite roads and 400 miles. This year it was on the trip to Le Mans.

Feck it. Ride the bike you've got not the one you think you should have and scrubbed or unscrubbed won't matter as long as they're consistent.

if your really worried you could use a file or sandpaper and remove the slippery silicone-thingy surface before you go out on the road first time, all you need then is to wait until the tyres are hot.
Lots of people do that with their slicks..

Three wet rides and tyres well scrubbed!
