Right, I bought this in March as a dooer upper & put it on the road. It has 6 months MOT, but it is SORN as of the 1st Jan 2013.
I know it's not to everybodys taste, but it could make a stonking track bike at a very reasonable price.
I'm not using it & have only done 1100 miles on it in 6 months as I use the Sprint all of the time. I did think about putting it on track, but have decided I'm better at taking pictures of race bikes than racing them myself.
I do have the original seat & back end bodywork, but the fairing was beyond repair.

Good points:

Extremely reliable standard engine. I left it for over a month once, she started 1st time & ran sweet as a nut.
Stainless downpipes
Renegade race can
Harris Clip Ons
EBC Prolite discs
F4 Sport clocks. It took me ages to wire these up, but they work brilliantly & look better than the standard clocks.
CBR600RR tail end

Bad points:
It looks like carp, really does need a respray
The paint on the frame isnt brilliant
Aprillia front end doesn't suit it. I have been looking at fitting a GSXR1000 race bodywork to it (like I say, i was going to take it on track)

Steelies sell for anything between £650 - £1600. This is the later, more powerful engined one, so think that £700 is a reasonable price.
I am also looking for a decent digital SLR camera, so could be tempted to a swap for WHY?

Here's my picture diary of what went into the rebuild.

How many miles has the engine done?

The original clocks were missing when I bought it, so don't actually know. The lad I bought it off reckoned that it hadn't done too many, he bought it off his mate to build another race bike, but decided to stick with just the 2 he has now

What level of dslr are you after? Or what do you use at the mo?

I have a Canon EOS300D at the mo, but want something with a better resolution & faster shutter speed. I take a lot of Bike racing pictures, the 300 is ok, but I want something better

Here's a video of the bike just after completion. The engine is as sweet as a nut

If it doesn't sell, then I might junk the front fairing & fit a single headlight. I'll also fit upright bars streetfighter stylee

That amount of work and you're only selling it for £700?

If I had the space for it I'd be ripping your arms off, GLWS

ha, yeah just a smidge!

I've literally only just made room in the garage today by getting a pal's bike moved out.
