We're only looking to be out from 11:30 till latest 3 (depends on how long food takes)
You should have been out early .
The road was so quiet with every one still in bed .
I think it easy blew out 2012 to let in 2013 ;)
Sorry if I woke any one up ....Not

Good little bimble. First of the year. Great day for it. Good roast. Nice castle. What more can I say?
Oh yeah ... I hope it's warm under that thumb Trev.

Oh was it nice and quiet on the road this morning. Good job too as corner observation was even more critical today with all the standing water about. Some of the roandabouts on the A4 heading towards my surprise showing in Basingstoke were almost flooded right the way across.
No problems on the gentle ride up to Castle Donnington (thank you for the slow pace Job - I hate wet roads!) but after the others stopped for lunch and I carried on for home via a different route the flooding on the fields around the Thames was amazing! Being a bit of a wuss I bottled it on the flooded section of the A40 near Tetsworth and had to back-track to the M40 for the final stretch. Boo. The cars were almost axle deep so personally I didn't mind being a bit late home instead of waiting for the RAC.
Nice day for a run. Keep clear of the puddles all of you!

Pack it in! I accidentally took the scenic route home and was asked why I'd not stopped to take pics of the flooding, even though I was a bit later home than planned already.
Fortunately round my way its not been too bad .
Its more gravel watch than puddles .
I missed out Finchinfield for that reason.

Was good to see you Trev, a welcome surprise! Was a good lunch at Toby Carvery, then Si and me had a B road blast back to Basingstoke. Couldn't see much heading South due to the low sun, but we had fun still. Si even managed to hit 242mph, which i thought was brave considering the road conditions

Today was perfect for a ride. First day in weeks. So I was most grumpy that I'm really poorly.

Not only that, but I went from 20 - 242 MPH then back to 0 in around 1.5 seconds. Epic performance! :D
Sounds like Chucklebunny must have run into the back of you.
Dad, where have you been????
