Took a bimble towards the coast with injury_ian and crashed just past Goodwood!

After a left hander I was in the wrong place for an immediate right. I scrubbed off some speed but it didn't seem like enough and then I target fixated on the mud off the road. I probably should have committed to the corner at that point but I've never had much confidence with the front end in the damp and so off I went!

Gear did its job and it was quite a slow off thankfully.

So just how much will it cost to convert the front end to a naked bike? Or is a new nose cheaper? Light cluster is fine.

Cheers.

bad luck m8.

if the light cluster is fine then it's going to be cheaper. but most times even the slightest knock breaks the mounting tabs on the light cluster.

all in all the bike looks not to bad.

Ah noooo! It's not that long since you made it pretty after Rockingham, IIRC?

Glad you're OK and still able to recognise a good photo opp. :-)

Man, it must suck to know you probably could've taken the corner. Hindsight is a bee-hatch! At least it was a fairly minor one and glad you're ok dude!

Sorry to read this one, hope that you can get it fixed soon.

Bad news but I suppose if you must fall off then slow, wet and muddy is probably the way to go.

Bike should fix up OK. At least you're OK and you know what went wrong - so you don't need to do it again. :)

Bugger :(
I've been out on my drz today, roads were incredibly muddy, had to be careful at times.

I paid £240 for a brand new painted nose cone from Suzuki, mine was repairable tbh, I gave it to Cbay for his.

Get a price for repair (if it's not too bad) before committing to a new one or change.

Glad you're ok anyway.

Sugar mate! Glad your ok. Could have been a lot worse and you'll be better for it when you get back to riding. On another note, never ride a bicycle with your motorcycle tank between the handlebars, at night, in traffic, without lights, or brakes! ;)

+1 on what Tam said. I can give you a price list of what my conversion cost.
The bit you're almost certainly gonna struggle with is the yoke, they're like hens teeth.

haha yeah she came off a lot better than Rockingham thanfully! And you guys wouldn't read this thread if it weren't for photos! :P

Thanks for all the comments guys. After a bit of a jet wash she just needs new indicators and rear brake peddle. The nose is busted again although I never repaired it fully last time. Hmmm what to do about the nose!

Sadly not. I think that's what jinxed my ride to be honest! :P Would have made for quite a video!

Aye it would have been educational for a few of us. I still have a corner demon from an off years ago. What did the missus have to say? There's a bloke on the org that repairs fairings svrory if i remember correctly or some cheapish white aftermarket stuff on evilbay from poland.

Cheers for the info! The missus thinks I'm a proper a biker now because rather than sulk and moan like I did after my highside at Rockingham, I described this one as 'rather enjoyable as far as offs go' and was joking about buying a new bike! :P
