View Full Version : describe bike engine sounds........
Ok so after a rather lengthy conversation, in which I completely failed to describe the differences of bike engine noises with my brum brum vocabulary I thought I would ask the mighty org...
How do you describe a V-Twin engine noise??

When idling its more of a thump thump, when moving they sound very lazy with a sort of rumbly sound, no other sound like it though!

Not sure what two sledgehammers battering your earholes sounds like........
Coz I'm deaf! :lol:
twin = heheheheheheh
IL4 = screeeeeeeeeam
twin = heheheheheheh
IL4 = screeeeeeeeeam
Quite so. I would also add...
2 stroke twin = ring ting ting ting, ring ting ting ting, riiing ting ting ting, riiiiiinnnggBRAAAAAAP, BRAAAAAAP, BRAAAAAP, BANG! *swearing*
V-twins sound like 2 hedgehogs bumping uglies while being set on fire with petrol.
What madam needs is the dulcet tone of a refined parallel twin engine that sounds like molten chocolate being poured through silk
