Route - Westish towards Devizes
Run leader - Mark or Job we'll make something up
Return - Basingstoke area by 14:00

If it's chucking it down then I'll issue a retraction by 09:30

Errmm I'm gonna say maybe, just took the bike out for an hour, first ride in about 4 months and I'm a little bit rusty, think I'll probably struggle to keep up on the twisties, bend confidence needs to be built up again :D (Doesn't help that it's cold)

the way to get your mojo is to get out on the bike!

Brimmed the tank earlier so I've got however far that takes me :D

Since you live closeish to the Holiday Inn, that should just be enough. If we were leaving from and returning to Loomies, you may've had issues. :)

Right young whippersnappers! It is now bedtime. You've been warned. Any tired or "I couldn't get out of bed" excuses will be met with the full force of GMia law. This will probably involve making you wear skirts and ride side saddle.

Next roundabout turn left on ring road

You gayers back? I want to know if jammy actually came out and dan managed more that 25 miles before turning back.

Jammy
05-01-13, 04:04 PM
Im back, and dan didnt even need to fuel up (though he was running mostly on motor oil)

Fallout
05-01-13, 04:14 PM
That's some serious oil leakage! Make sure you check the levels before you ride next time else it could be veeeeerry expensive.

My ridiculous oxford lobster gloves had arrived after i left >;[

So warm i couldnt try them on for very long for fear of irreversible burns to my hand

Mark_h
05-01-13, 05:13 PM
Did they come with ketchup?

Mark_h
05-01-13, 05:33 PM
Chaps. remember we agreed not to mention the most recent thing to fall apart on Fallout's bike. It would be unfortunate if word were to get to Chucklebunny.

Anyway. it's not that serious as when that one falls apart he has another the other end.

But best just keep it quiet.

At least my oil is only jettisoned out the exhaust pipe and doesn't cover my crankcase. I'm grateful for that!

tonyk
05-01-13, 05:50 PM
Could have been worse, my oil leak used to spew over my back tyre..
:puker: :puker:

Fallout
05-01-13, 05:52 PM
That's what Dan's is probably doing. All over the engine it was. Swimming. I had to take a step back to make sure it wasn't a triumph.

tonyk
05-01-13, 05:55 PM
ha ha ha...............bloody ha ha... not funny....lived with the leak through 3 services.
BUT after 2 extra washers were added to the too long enging bolt the leak was fixed..da dah..

If I can sort it before next weekend then I will, last time I just tightened the clutch cover and it sorted it... albeit tempoarily

Yeh I've read bout that, I'll have a look over the next couple of days when I can be arsed and hope like **** it's not too difficult to sort :D Doesn't leak when the oil's cold so it's not a desperate fix :safe:

dirtydog
05-01-13, 06:57 PM
Yes unfortunately warped clutch covers are all too common on curvys, only proper cure is to get the cover off and see if it's warped and check the paint finish on the engine case as well.
Last time I bought a new clutch cover and seal it was nearly £60!
